Deportation vs a path to citizenship.

I can see refugees that have a legitimate (and LEGAL) request for asylum becoming citizens.

MILLIONS have immigrated here for freedom, and have even fought and died to defend and protect their new homeland.

The Japanese immigrants that had family in FDR'S camps even proved to be HEROES in our fight against Hitler in Europe.

Daniel K. Inouye from Hawaii (a Democrat) comes to mind. He WAS a hero.

But if you break into my house (or country), you should be forcibly removed as an invader!!!

Harris has even stated that she would shoot an intruder.

I think we have OUR heads on straight, but I think what the Democrats are smoking must be AMAZING!!!
The Americans in the 442nd RCT and the 100th Infantry Battalion were Nisei, first generation American citizens, NOT IMMIGRANTS. Some Japanese immigrants were used as translators in the PTO, but not combat troops.

Adding Up the Billions in Tax Dollars Paid by Undocumented Immigrants

Often lost in political and policy debates about undocumented immigration is a simple yet crucial fact: undocumented immigrants pay taxes. Like everyone else in the United States, they pay sales taxes. They also pay property taxes—even if they rent. As a report from the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy (ITEP) points out, “the best evidence suggests that at least 50 percent of undocumented immigrant households currently file income tax returns using Individual Tax Identification Numbers (ITINs), and many who do not file income tax returns still have taxes deducted from their paychecks.” The end result is that undocumented immigrants are paying billions of dollars each year in taxes. Moreover, as several studies have found, undocumented immigrants would earn much more, and therefore pay much more in taxes, if they had some sort of legal status, be it permanent or temporary. Not surprisingly, permanent status yields more tax revenue than temporary status.

Legalization vs. Executive Action

There are two scenarios that would markedly increase the tax contributions of undocumented immigrants:

  1. The granting of lawful permanent resident (LPR) status to all 11 million undocumented immigrants—in other words, legalization. This would generate the largest increase in tax revenue.

The problem with a rigorous path to citizenship being.......it doesn't satisfy the need trumples have to expel the "vermin." You know, the rapists, the drug smugglers, the people who are poisoning the purity of American blood. Like the Jews did in Nazi Germany.

We already have a path to citizenship.

The "oath to citizenship" is to GET THE FUCK OUT and TRY to enter legally

No illegal alien or asylum seeker deserves a pathway to citizenship

Nor should that blessing be given to DACAs either

A few -not many- might get green cards and permanent residency

But not citizenship

Not ever
