Rittenhouse was found not guilty under the law. In context, that is fair. So yeah, if a person is not fond of a law then what they have to do is advocate to have it changed. I'd imagine one good way to do that would be via winning elections.
Personally, it seems to me that the fact that a 17 year old kid can aggressively insert himself into a violent and public situation with a weapon like that is worth some intelligent and reasonable discussion. So it has to be decided whether that should be legal.
I'd imagine that, underneath all the standard screaming and attacking and hating and politicking and fundraising, that's the bottom line. Are we capable of intelligent and reasonable discussion right now? No, not that I can see. Hopefully I'm wrong!
