Just a few days after the third attempt on President Trump's life, Democrats backtrack, gaslight and play "whataboutism". These people aren't playing the long game. Think: what if the next attempt is successful?

We haven't had a president assassinated since John F. Kennedy Jr. It would stop the nation, and make President Trump an even more grandiose figure. It seems Democrats can not even begin to imagine it. Add to it that this is not the early 60s. Our political rhetoric is off the rails, and there's PLENTY of fodder for Americans to point fingers in the Democrats' direction.

Are there any Democrats that can look ahead and say, "well, no matter how much I hate Trump, this would be an unmitigated national and political disaster"? Or can't you get past your hatred of him?

The Dem party is now the party of "JD Vance for President".

I'm ok with that.

I am certain that democrats don't think it would be a disaster for Trump to be assassinated. I think we would hear a collective sigh of relief from them and more than a little celebrating.

I agree, but they're not very smart (we know this). They haven't thought ahead to the unrolling disaster this would be for so many people. And they WOULD be blamed if it turns out like this last attempt: a radicalized Leftist (but I repeat myself)

I am not a republican but I see no hate from republicans for any of those groups. Not an ounce.

But I do see democrats out of their minds trying to protect people here illegally that kill, rape and injure Americans quite regularly and then hate republicans for wanting this to stop.

Then you aren't "seeing" anything. Just what you want to.
I don't see Democrats advocating policies drag innocent people (including small children) who are just here to make a better life for themselves out of their homes and put them into holding facilities. You like your selective outrage.

How about if the hotel had been more discerning about their guests when the POTUS was present? Why was there so little security in the lobby where he was before he entered the room??? Why was he allowed to bring a gun in the first place? Why did it take so long for a SS to stand in front of Trump, to make Trump get to the floor?
