Socialism is neo-communism today. Private sectors with massive payments from the government and excessive intervention in the lives of businesses and individuals is NOT capitalism.

Socialism today is just a stones throw away from outright, old school communism, just ask General Motors and their trek into "socialist Venezuela" when the government outright took control of their manufacturing plants.

Socialism is crony capitalism at best, that is funding in some cases, de facto control of busineses via heavy government subsidies, grants, "investments" and state actors operating at high levels within these businesses. I know of what I speak, I blew the whistle on Canada for these tactics. Costing me a great deal, but in the process, costing Canada and the police agencies in Ontario a great deal.
