According to the write up, the guy is up for parole in December when his current sentence is 35 years to life in prison. Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but what makes parole an option for certain people if their reason for being there at all is severe enough? Is it because of how long the guy has been in there already? He's been in there since 1994. The current sentence was given to him two years later.
