U.S. Government. While often categorized as a democracy, the United States is more accurately defined as a constitutional federal republic.
The US is not a direct democracy because the people vote for the repreasentatives who then vote on legislation.
But we are not just a constitutional federal republic either, because that would not imply the right to vote.
So the most accurate is to add it all together, and call us representative, democratic, constitutional, federal, republic.
