The way to kill a submarine is to fill the people tank with water, It is usually accomplished by torpedoes exploding underneath the submarine or even surface ship and breaking the sub or ship's keel.

You really should write some fiction stories with some of these hare-brained ideas. It would sell millions in the comedy section of a bookstore!

A very long time ago, the USSR carrier Kiev was in the shipyards and getting ready to come out into the Med. My cruiser went into the Black Sea to monitor their final preparations to leave the shipyard and presumably head to one of the northern ports through the Mediterranean. When we determined they were ready to leave we scooted back through the Turkish Straits and waited for them in the Aegean Sea. Since they have to declare their intent and receive permission to transit the straits, we knew when they would come out and were sitting there waiting. We attached ourselves to her and never let her out of our sight until we made anchor with the rest of the Soviet Fleet. There we were relieved by another ship because we had been at sea for an extended time. At any time of our choosing, we could have destroyed the Kiev in a sneak attack.

That large 'horizontal' Greek island (Crete) already has military installations used by the USA.

Officially it took the Wehrmacht 13 days to conquer Crete, but after 6 hours Germans already landed paratroopers on the island which was defended by English, Australians.

There's no legal basis to interdict Russian ships around Crete as the surroundings are international waters.
You do that and it is war.
The Greeks also might not want to be part of such anti-Russia action and might throw USA from the island.

As a Brit on this forum, I often get told, "Who are you to tell Americans what to do".

So by that token, what makes you think Americans can tell other nations like Poland, Ukraine, Germany etc.. on what to do about Russia?
