Blech...
I haven't been a fan of the Oilers since the left Houston...
I'm happy Pud Adams died without winning a Super Bowl.
Dude was a complete asshole!!! Said the Astrodome wasn't nice enough so the city spent a **** ton of money on a remod and he said it wasnt good enough.
I saw many an Astros and Oilers game (and a rodeo or two) as a youth in that building, seemed just fine to me...
Granted, NRG is much nicer, and a great place to see the Texans play, but look how far the technology has come since the Astrodome was built...
Yeah,I feel every year the Dome has been around.
It was finished in 1965 the year I was born and we both look old and tired.
I remember when the Houston Rockets came to Houston. They originally were going to be a San Diego team,we even bought a house there and never even moved in before the Rockets came to Houston.
They played in the Astrodome for a while, back then basketball wasn't as popular as it is now so they put up this giant curtain down on the playing field behind the court and only used a small section of seats.
I remember roaming the Dome as a kid same as with the Summit back in the day.
When I was a ballboy I rode my bike all over the Summit, slid down the stainless steel ramp between the escalators and the white pants we wore were black from all the accumulated stuff on the stainless.
It sure looked shiny at the time. Ended up having to go through the whole game with a black ass.
My old man was pissed to say the least.
I remember The Summit, completed in 1975, I was 11 years old. Saw the Rockets play there once as a kid and again as an adult when I came back to town to visit my mom. It's a damn church now... my how things change...
Everywhere it goes it's unhappy and wont play. Think Tannyhill will please hus riyal highness?
Although, can blame him for hating time in AZ with one of worst QB available.
The generation of stadiums built in the late 1960's to early 1980's or so were modern. However not as today's stadiums are of course. The indoor stadiums were closer to the court or ice though.I've only been to Toyota Center once and the seats sucked!!!
They're so close together your knees touch the seat in front of you.
These were cheap seats a buddy got for free so I cant say if they're all like that but probably not.
When the Rockets played in the Summit we got four free seats behind the Rockets bench three rows up for every game.
They were only $24 bucks a piece back then.
Couldnt even tell you what they go for these days but I bet it ain't cheap.

At least he didnāt go to KC
We were 13 seconds away from beating the chiefs with Tyreek Hill. Having said that Iām glad the cheifs didnāt get D-HopYouāre lucky Bills would have zero chance against Mahomes with a legit #1.
Uh huh. And you lost. Then you couldnāt get by the Bengals at home. Giving Mahomes more weapons doesnāt make it more likely youāre beating himWe were 13 seconds away from beating the chiefs with Tyreek Hill. Having said that Iām glad the cheifs didnāt get D-Hop
I know, what a ******* liar.sure glad the waiting game is finally over.was hoping he would go to the chiefs but canāt have everything,at least he didnāt go to the cheatriots,I said I could live with it going to the titans just as long as it wasnāt the cheatriots.I thought he said he wanted to go to a Super bowl team?![]()
