He is just like every politician. He will SAY and do ANYTHING to get elected.

Quit??

Looks like he is still in the race.. Republicans have a problem with third party candidates??

Crist: "Hello, Rahm? What do you guys want me to do now? Should I start calling people 'teabaggers'? Call me, willya?"

Guess he can join the ranks with Palin and the other Republican governers that lie and quit, huh?

He got sick of the republicans being hypocrite. They attack him, while taking stimulus dollars themselves.
And don't let Rubio have the credit card.

Crist is well within his rights to run as an independent. There were a lot of Republicans who embraced Joe Lieberman's decision to do the same in 2006.

The Republicans stabbed him in the back.

No. The GOP didn't "stab him in the back". Sheesh.

Crist had lots of GOP support, much to the current chagrin of people like John McCain and John Cornyn. His problem is that he lost the primary despite that support.... because he didn't stand tall against the Democrat's insane Porkulus bill. Now he wants a do-over.

He's a sore loser who appointed a "place-holder" to that seat and thinks that it should've automatically been his. The guy has ZERO case for pressing forward and not respecting the results of the primary race. He's a big, whiney crybaby who has, in all likelihood, just ended his political career in disgrace.

Good Riddance. The last thing we need in this country is more career politicians with entitlement issues. If Democrats don't expect more integrity from their candidates... well, that's on them. I'd say, given the results of 2006 and 2008, voting Republicans have had their fill of greasy, snake-oil salesman.

It's a consistent mistake on the part of liberals to believe that Democrats have made electoral gains in some sort of vacuum, that your socialist agenda is a winner. Bottom line, Conservatives have not been energized by the Democrat-Lite brand of Republican we've seen lately.... hence, the difficult primary challenges and the backlash against RINOs. We want principled candidates who BELIEVE in limited government and responsible spending, who don't just give lip-service to those ideals.
And that's where the energy is.

Obama and his Socialist Dems have badly misread their supposed "mandate". Note that polling data typically shows opposition to the policies if not always to Obama himself. He ran on cleaning up the corruption in Washington, changing the "business as usual" dynamic. He was supposed to transcend party and race. He was supposed to bring unity. Instead, he has doubled, tripled, quadrupled down on EVERYTHING we already hated about Washington politicians.
He'll pay for that in 2012 at the polls. And his cohorts will pay in November... as will Charlie Crist.

He defrauded his Republican supporters worse than if worked at Goldman Sachs

Can his supporters sue him for fraud and get their money back?
