Clever? Now 4 year Olds know the world is round. That's not clever.

Job knew the earth was round long before science. He was clever. Science was slow. Another example:
Hawking just found out before he died that there are more than 4 dimensions. We think he was clever. Wait till the next scientist finds out what can be done with dimensions. I already know. I've read the Bible. So did Maimonides. He told Hawking in the 1100's about those extra dimensions, that he discovered in Genesis, but the Hawkings of the day weren't clever enough to pick it up until a few thousand years later. But Hawking is the clever one.
Not clever, just poorly uneducated, exceedingly slow in figuring it out, blindly leading each other until they stumble on something they think is unique. Oh Look! Dark Matter!

Most people looking just at Job's words agree it does not indicate that the Earth is round. References for Isaiah and Luke combined with Job's would indicate that they knew the Earth was spherical-shaped. At least in Luke's case, contact with the Egyptians would make that case very possible. Eratosthenes and Posidonius both proved it centuries earlier.
