I think you're matching apples with oranges. Each age group has a different population number to consider.So with just one percent dead that's 3.4 million, which would exceed the number of service men lost in battle in every war the US has fought. And quoting Trump when asked about the current staggering dead toll, he said, "It is what it is". I wonder if 3.4 million would elicit any more empathy than 200,000.
