Catholics would begin to keep the Jewish Sabbaths and Holy Days, [which is exactly what is predicted in the Jewish scriptures].

Or could it be that what Jesus said even after His resurrection might be something that he actually meant?

Then he said to them: O foolish, and slow of heart to believe in all things which the prophets have spoken."
[Luke 24:25]

If every word of Isaiah fifty three came to pass then how much more so the predictions of a utopian earth where everybody knows our Creator and His Messiah from the least to the greatest.

jesus knew the heavenly sabbath to keep holy and made a point of it - is moses your prophet ...

Good question. My impression is that Messiah Yeshua - Jesus honored all of the Prophets of Judaism and essentially stated that He was going to cause all of their words to come to pass and that not one jot or title would fail to come to pass. The implications of this are huge.

25Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:[Luke 24:25]

Messiah Yeshua - Jesus was not joking when He stated the following:

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

18For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

19Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

20For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

21Ye have heard that it was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:

22But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
[Matthew 5]

Please notice that a lot of the events of Matthew chapter four sound a lot like a near death experience. Fasting without food or water for forty days will certainly bring anybody close to death.

As James would say: "James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting." James 1:1

There's a very good probability that true Israel can and will be found in Europe, Canada, the USA, New Zealand, the British Isles, Australia, South Africa, and other places around the globe. That's how I view the term, "scattered abroad." A less likely place to find them is in the Khazar-controlled regions of the Mideast.

Yair Davidiy is an Orthodox Jewish scholar and historian who has done excellent work on that topic.

Tribal Identification: Dan

Additional Notes pertinent to the identification of Dan will be found in the sections concerning Reuben, Judah, Naphtali, and Gad.
[Adapted from "The Tribes"]

<<And the sons of Dan; Hushim>> Genesis 46; 23. "Hushim" was also known as "Shuham".
<<These are the sons of Dan after their families: of Shuham, the family of the Shuhami. These are the families of Dan after their families>> Numbers 26; 42.

DAN WITH GAD AND NAPHTALI
Groups derived from Dan were historically somehow linked with the Gothic forces that descended mainly from Gad. Danites were also found together with the Nephtalites of Naphtali .

For the benefit of the learning impaired --- it has NOTHING to do with lineage further back than your own mother.

If you don't know if your own mother is Jewish or not then, she's probably NOT, and you don't worry need to worry about it.

You might have had ancestors running around Jerusalem back in 1500 BCE ... that doesn't make you Jewish any more than having a circumcision.
True. Your mother could have come from a Christian family, grew up attending mass, went to Catholic School, etc., etc., but if she converted before you were born, she’s Jewish - and so are all her children born after that.

Am I incorrect to have the belief that by abandoning the seventh day Sabbath as well as the annual Jewish High Sabbath, this eventually led to the lost ten tribes of Israel losing their identity as being Jewish?

On that note, what do you think of the prediction in the Roman Catholic Bible that the Lost Tribes of Israel are scheduled to be "restored" in the near future, [I believe that this happens significantly before the literal fulfillment of Zechariah chapter fourteen].
is that only in the Catholic Bible?

is that only in the Catholic Bible?

I really like the way that the Catholic Bible does connect the final Elijah with the restoration of the Lost Tribes of Israel.

It is all throughout even the King James Translation as well but it is only in the Book of Ecclesiasticus that it is linked to the work of the Final Elijah person. [Incidentally near death expereincer Kevin L. Zadai was shown clearly that the real two witnesses of the Book of Revelation will be none other than the Prophet Elijah and the Patriarch and prophet Enoch].

Before that time the best that the rest of us could really do is something of an artistic version of what might happen, [but that does have potential]. If you know of anybody who might be interested in that idea Pastor Rick Joyner could probably do an excellent version of what the final two witnesses must accomplish because he was given a fascinating message from The Patriarch Adam for all mankind. This means to me that he has a special calling as well to turn the hearts of children to their fathers and vice versa.

[Rick Joyner]

Love Releases Life

Another man who looked almost exactly like Abel came and stood beside him.

“I am Adam,” he said. “I was given authority over the earth, but I gave it to the evil one by obeying evil. He now rules in my place and your place. The earth was given to man, but the evil one has taken it. The authority I lost was restored by the cross. Jesus Christ is ‘the last Adam,’ and He will soon take His authority and rule. He will rule through mankind because He gave the earth to mankind. Those who live in your times will prepare the earth for Him to rule.”

“Please tell me more,” I asked, a little surprised to see Adam, but wanting to hear everything he had to say. “How do we prepare for Him?”

“Love,” he said. “You must love one another. You must love the earth, and you must love life. My sin released the death that now flows as rivers upon the earth. Your love will release rivers of life. When evil reigns, death is stronger than life, and death prevails over life. When righteousness reigns, life prevails, and life is stronger than death. Soon the life of the Son of God will swallow up the death that was released through my disobedience. It is not just living that you must love, but life. Death is your enemy. You are called to be a messenger of life.

“When the Lord’s people begin to love, He will use them to release His judgments. His judgments are to be desired. The whole world is groaning and travailing as it waits for His judgments, and when they come, the world will learn righteousness. What He is about to do, He will do through His people, and His people will stand as Elijah in the last days. Their words will shut up the heavens or bring rain; they will prophesy earthquakes and famines, and they will come to pass; they will stop famines and earthquakes.

“When they release armies in the heavens, armies will march on the earth. When they hold back armies, there will be peace. They will decide where He shows mercy and where He shows His wrath. They will have this authority because they will love, and those who love will be one with Him. What you will see through that door is to help prepare you for what He is about to do through His people.

“I know authority. I also know the responsibility of authority. Because of the great authority that I was given, I am responsible for what has happened to the earth. Even so, the grace of God began to cover me, and God’s great redemption will soon swallow up my mistake. Peace will be taken from the earth, but you are called to help restore it. Peace prevails in heaven, and you are called to bring heaven to earth. Those who abide in His presence will know peace and will spread peace.

“The earth itself will shake and tremble. Times of trouble greater than have ever been known will begin to move across the earth like great waves of the sea. Even so, those who know Him will not be troubled. They will stand before the raging of the seas and say, ‘Peace, be still’ and the seas will be calm. Even the least of His little ones will be like a great fortress of peace that will stand through all that is coming. His glory will be revealed to His people first and then through them. Even the creation will recognize Him in His people and will obey them as it does Him.

“This is the authority that I had, and it will be given to mankind again. I used my authority to turn Paradise into a wilderness. The Lord will use His authority to turn the wilderness into Paradise again. This is the authority that He is giving to His people. I used mine wrongly and death came. When His authority is used in righteousness, it will release life. Be careful how you use authority. With authority comes responsibility. You, too, can use it wrongly, but you will not do this if you love. As all of heaven knows, ‘Love never fails.”

“What about the earthquakes, famines and even wars that you said we would release on the earth? Won’t this be releasing death?” I asked.

"

there is no "Jewish High Sabbath."

there is no "Jewish High Sabbath."
There are seven annual Sabbaths that may fall on the weekly Sabbath, but they could fall on any day of the week.

In the year in which Messiah Yeshua - Jesus was betrayed and crucified, the First Day of Unleavened Bread would be on a Thursday. That way there is fully seventy two hours for Messiah Yeshua - Jesus to fulfill the prophecy of Jonah.

not according to Judaism. Introducing ideas like this and trying to claim that they are part of Judaism is not a good look.

Sabbath is always on Saturday.

You must be referring to some Christian version of Sabbath.

I wasn’t sure what he meant by that, but I thought he must have meant the Shabbos that falls between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

In Judaism each new moon begins a new month, therefore if one of the High Sabbaths of Judaism is on the first day of a month, or perhaps the fourteenth or fifteenth of a month, then those High Jewish Sabbaths will not necessarily fall on the weekly Sabbath that is always from Friday at sunset to Saturday at sunset.

I suppose that it is possible that there is a branch of Judaism that uses the nearest weekly Sabbath for the high Sabbaths?

Some days significant to Judaism are not actually full fledged Sabbaths but the ones mentioned in the five books of Moses.

No, you are mixing up the start of the new month, which begins with the full moon and can occur any day of the week, with Sabbath, which is always on Saturday.

There is no such concept as “a full-fledged” vs “not a full-fledged” Shabbos in Judaism.

Finally, there are many days significant in Judaism that do not necessarily fall on the Sabbath - Yom Kippur, the first two nights of Passover, Shavous, the first two days of Sukkot, etc.

You should be aware that when speaking with a Jew, referring to Jesus as “Messiah Yeshua” could be considered inappropriate. Just a little heads up, since you seem unaware of that.

Yes, Yom Kippur is what I mean by one of the High Sabbaths and Yom Kippur will not necessarily come on the weekly Sabbath because it is on the tenth day of the Seventh Month. But in the law of Moses it is specified that work cannot be done on Yom Kippur, [or on those other days that are annual, but not necessarily weekly Sabbaths].

Chanukkah, for example, is not one of the annual Sabbaths given by Moses, and you do not have to refrain from working on Chanukkah.

You have the meaning of Sabbath entirely wrong. There’s no such thing as a High Sabbath.

You seem to be using the word Sabbath as a stand-in for “holiday.”

Just curious where you got this idea from.
