The first one that comes to mind is Ashli Babbitt. You know and I know that if the office had been white and Babbitt had been black and not a Trump supporter, the office would be on trial. Regardless of whether or not you feel the shooting was justified, there are plenty that don’t. Are they rioting in the streets, burning buildings and looting?
So you could only find one, a crazy woman who was part of an angry mob that was storming the Capitol with the intent of harming members of Congress and Mike Pence. See, you kind of make my point. I can give you a whole list of black people who were murdered by cops.
Laquan McDonald- shot 16 times in Chicago.
Tamir Rice - Shot while playing with a toy in a park
Botham Jean - Shot in his living room because a cop got confused as to what floor she was on.
Mike Brown- Shot after he had his hands up
Philandro Castille - Shot in his car
Jacob Blake - Shot in the back with his kids in the car
George Floyd- strangled for passing a fake $20
Walter Scott - Shot while running from police
(I could include Breonna Taylor, but her boyfriend was armed and shot at police. So I am honest enough not to include her.)
Also, non-black killings are harder to find because they only end up in local news stories. More hispanics are killed that whites too but I don’t see them rioting in the streets.
so you have to admit, you couldn't find more than one case of an unarmed white person being shot by police. MEANWHILE, unarmed blacks are shot all the time, usually under the flimsiest of pretexts.
More white people are killed by cops than black or Hispanic people, granted not as a percentage. Just by shear numbers it would stand to reason that there are some of those where cops acted inappropriately or had a quick trigger finger. The difference is, they only make the local news and don’t show up on the View, CNN and MSNBC.
no, guy, the reason is that cops will treat white people with more deference than people of color. Hey, check out this video. Silly Darkies, the Second Amendment is for white people.
A white guy walking around with an AR-15 politely approached by cops and asked nicely to give his ID and while he's walking around with the gun favored by mass shooters.
The Black guy is treated like he's an immediate threat, even though he's walking around with a pregnant woman (who was also treated like she was a threat.)
