College without sports

....Traveling across the nation on the taxpayer dime to play a meaningless game ....
There it is; the cry of the bitter, envious 98lb weakling. Where are you from? You don't sound like an American.

I wish I weighed 98 pounds.
No, just a taxpayer who doesn't want to see the football coach be the highest paid public employee in the state.
As for "sounding like an American", congratulations; you stooped to a new low.
Did you need two hands to push down each key on the keyboard to post your reply, Poindexter? In a state of nature, you're the prey animal Granny feels bad for when she's watching the Nature Channel.

I'm sure that was supposed to be insulting... but I found it rather funny.

... Remember the 2008 game between Tech and State? ....
Everyone who played in the game or watched their Alma mater does.

I'm sure you'll google it because you're dishonest and a jerk but can you tell me what your alma matter's record in women's volleyball was during your senior year? Of course you can't .

If this is how you 'think,' it seems highly unlikely you ever went to school at all,

Ahh yes, the personal attack. Poor baby, you're so lame. The game your fellow classmates played didn't mean anything to you--as you just admitted since you're completely unaware of their record. Thanks for confirming my point loser boy.

Too bad you never got the chance to study Logic, dumbass.

Again, you destroy your own weak argument.

First you say the meaningless game between Tech and State was important to the student body. But when asked the results of a season of one of your Alma matter’s sports teams...you have to resort to weak personal attacks. So **** you.

See, if you had gone to school and taken a Logic course or two you would know why your ridiculous argument is so stupid. You poor, dumb bastard.

Again, first you say that the game is important to the "Alma Matter" then admit you don't even know what one of your teams did. So it wasn't important to you or any one else for that matter.

As for "logic", please explain the need for Florida Atlantic University to travel 1,600 miles to Columbus Ohio to play Ohio State as they did last Labor Day (I was at the game by the way). They couldn't have played someone closer, saved ten thousand dollars on hotels alone...several thousand on air travel...had more of their fans at attendance?

Your turn **** face.

...
So, if you don't memorize the final score of every game of every sport ever played during your time at the school, that is "proof" that sports aren't important to you? Even you can't be that ******* stupid.

Then again...

When I was an undergrad, our team made a point of going and supporting other sports on campus. We particularly supported the women's sports, and were in turn strongly supported by other sports and the general student body. We are not talking about a glamorous, high-profile sport, but we always had a strong core of fans and were loyally supported by the other sports. The many and various sports contributed to a school spirit and community that played a part in recruiting (non-athletes as well) and keeping alumni involved. This in turn played a large part in the identity of the city itself.

I'm sure that "school spirit" elevated GPA's significantly. Certainly, attending those meaningless games was a better use of your time than studying, exercising yourself, or working at a PT job.

For someone who hates sports so much, you sure are busy moving goal posts. Good thing you have your straw man to help you.
