Climategate was the term given to the e-mails that were hacked revealing that data was being manipulated in order to push man-made global warming...is that what you are referring to? Or do you believe in the hoax that is global warming??

What decline do you believe they were hiding? BTW, you have just demonstrated that unlike someone with an IQ of 158, expert at all manner of science, you do not understand a basic concept like confirmation bias. Even under the most oblivious denier interpretion, the actions charged do not constitute confirmation bias.

Confirmation bias, also called confirmatory bias or myside bias, is the tendency to search for, interpret, favor, and recall information in a way that confirms one's beliefs or hypotheses, while giving disproportionately less consideration to alternative possibilities.

Data were not searched for, interpreted, favored or recalled and the entire issue, including many alternative possibilities, have been well studied. The decline of the proportionality factor between tree ring widths and temperatures in the 20th century was widely known and discussed. The "trick" was a simple method of shifting to instrumented records. If you want to believe that the decline in global temperatures tree rings seemed to indicate was real, then you have to assume that ALL the instrumented temperature records of the 20th century are false and have been false for a very long while. THAT would be confirmation bias.

Geo-engineering is the cause for climate change through use of aerosol spraying and ionoshperic heaters. It's a program that has been in place since at least 1997. They are able to create weird weather anomalies and then blame it on the use of petroleum. Oil is not a fossil fuel, it is a abiotic fluid produced by the earth's crust. That being said, the very same POS that are pushing for a carbon tax and funded the research for geo-engineering are the same ones that own big oil and they want to double dip. Charge us for the gas and then put another tax on it for doing. The idea for an artificially created environmental crisis was originally in the Iron Mountain Report that took 4 years to finish in 1967. The Club Of Rome, an offshoot of the U.N was created to carry out the agenda thus the environmental movement. They recruited stupid liberals to do most of the heavy lifting.
