CDZ Climate Change : your thoughts?

Climate change can be destructive. It can also be a good thing.
Man cannot change natural earth evolution. The earth owes us nothing. The entitlement culture needs to understand that.
AND YOU (THE WEALTHY) NEED TO UNDERSTAND THAT HOARDING WEALTH IS THE GREATEST EVIL THAT THIS WORLD CURRENTLY SUFFERS UNDER.
Maybe you should stop hoarding stupidity.

Do you even realize that you are not entitled to someone else wealth, nor have you lost a single crumb of food because of the rich?

Stupidity, entitlements & food eh...

Actually, i am having serious problems making ends meet despite holding significant engineering work-experience in the software industry, because of that expensive war on terror that the rich of the US have thrust the world into.

Blue skies in parts of China for the first time in over a decade and a 30% reduction in greenhouse gases. Thank you covid-19.

i realize, after watching CNN-US this morning and seeing rich people donate money to small businesses so they can continue to pay their employees during this time of hardship, that you GOP fans were right all along.
you have my apologies for my earlier outbursts, ok..

Given their diet, I wonder what polar bear meat tastes like?

Also, that pelt would make an awesome rug or jacket.

Two year old articles and pictures... got anything more recent? I mean hey, you've gone to the trouble of shielding yourself in the "Clean Debate Zone" so one would think you could start off with some current information...

As for "climate change," I believe most of what we're seeing is cyclical. You know they once grew grape in northern England, right?

At the same time, I think it foolish to believe that what humans do does not have some impact on the Earth. The question is, how much? Find me an unbiased source, on either side of the debate, one that's not making money from their studies, then we can talk. Until then, don't come knocking on my door like so many Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses.

Do you think that Bill Gates is evil for creating Microsoft and employing tens of thousands of people in well paying jobs? Just who is he making suffer?

Weather short term prediction
Climate change long term prediction,
people seem to get this confused and equate weather with climate change.
other than that fact climate change is above my pay grade.

Photos: polar bear cub in Alaska looking up to the sky and "praying for snow"

A polar bear appeared to be praying for a cold winter after being seen placing his huge paws together and looking up at the sky.
The cub bear was pictured seemingly looking up to the heavens and asking for divine intervention in the animal's current plight.
Temperatures in their Alaskan habitat are higher than usual and as a result the pack have been left stranded on land waiting for the ice to freeze.
Until temperatures drop and more ice freezes after melting during the spring, the polar bears cannot go and find seals.

The male juvenile bear made the plea to a higher power just before he went to sleep, while his while his mother and sister were already napping.

Photographer, Shayne McGuire, captured the beautiful bear in Barter Island, Alaska, on the October 7.
She said: 'It was nap time for the bear, his mum and sister had already curled up, yet, there he sat, contemplating something, that we will never know.
'Then he looked up at the sky, raised his head and paws, and I heard one of my group say 'he is praying for the ice to freeze.'
'It is late in the season and yet, very little snow.
' I have seen global warming affect their habitat, I have been going since 2013 and there has always been snow in late September, early October.
'In 2015, there were snow storms and the snow was deep.
'Since then, I have been in early October to mid October and have had some ice, very little snow.'

Personally, i think that nature is very sturdy and resilient, so it can recover from climate change damage with a little human help.

What we need for that is to end the war on terror through diplomacy, so that funds can be made available to fix up the climate change issues.

and... women.. do NOT go overboard in your politics (not even to your husbands and boyfriends) about what to spend money on. You've had voting rights for a mere one-hundred years, and you're NOT READY to lead the world. Just accept that fact, before someone like me has to point it out in public.
the same goes for all green-freaks that happen to be males.
This Corona is definitely lessening the world foot print. No doubt in that.

Don't be so lazy, go out and earn some money for yourself, accumulate wealth of your own, then you can do whatever you want with it. Quit insisting others give you what they worked hard for. Christ, just because you got a trophy for showing up doesn't mean your entitled to rob those who worked for what they have...

I applaud your concern for polar bears...But if they were TRULY endangered, the world would STOP Canada and Russia from issuing hunting permits.. Last time I checked, it's because it's great income to the native tribes who RE-SELL the hunting permits to trophy hunters...

Early estimates of losses for polar bears due to the small 0.6DegC rise in Global mean temperature in your lifetime were wrong.. Certain GROUPS of them have issues.. Other groups are flourishing.. Might be the groups the Russian and Canada natives are still hunting...

Zoos are not the answer.. If you want to be a true environmentalist and DO something -- find out if the hunting still exists and WORK ON THAT......

In 1950 the population of polar bears was estimated to be 5000. Now the population is over 25,000. Better pick another cause snowflake.

Why?!

Polar bears and other sea life make for wonderful tourist attractions and day-trips for families! A lot of money can be made! A lot of new jobs can be supported!

Except, most Arctic tourists largely stay on the Cruise ships... Seeking out polar bears requires too much risk and provisions because of the harsh conditions that most tourists don't want to endure to get a long distance picture of a polar bear...

Can't find the latest Arctic Sea Ice graph.. Found it at NSIDC, but it won't allow copying because it's NOT good news for warmers or something.. LOL...

The sea ice extent in the Arctic has been in "slower decline" for about a decade now.. In fact, the mid winter numbers are not really far below the 20th Century average.. Might be slightly earlier springs up there, but only about weeks...

This is where I toss up my hands and just sigh... Who do you think it would be paying $$Thousands to travel to the Arctic for "eco-tourism:"??? To trudge across a couple hundred miles of ice to take a picture of a polar bear??

Well -- it would that EVIL wealthy and rich.... Keep working on it.. Your heart is in the right place..
