Clearing up a misconception atheists have about practicing Christians

Just look at how these Bible thumpers deny global warming, evolution, wearing masks, taking the vaccine.

Keep in mind that many who are "denying global warming" are merely denying that the government can fix it. Meanwhile government is rubbing their hands in delight over another reason to raise taxes and control people. Note how well the government did with the War on Drugs, the War on Poverty, etc. The last thing we need is for the government to star their War on Climate. The cynic in me notes the government is merely saying, "Want more of your money."

Wearing masks: Put masks and virus under a microscope. The weave on masks is much larger than that itty-bitty virus. Or do your own experiment and blow smoke through. People who wish to wear mask absolutely should. Government should not force the issue. Taking the vaccine: I saw a statistic stating one in four will not take the vaccine. My family fits that statistic. My husband and two daughters will (one already has). I will not. That is merely because I react badly to even over-the-counter medications. Went through two natural child-births. When I had my appendix out, took me a full month to recover from being knocked out. (Can't drink, either. )

Just saying we shouldn't put everyone in the same box. I have my reasons for opting for no mask, no vaccine. That doesn't mean I think everyone has the same reasons I have. We are not cookie stamps of each other, and it should not bother people when another type of cookie opts for something different than we did.

Notice for how many years you guys denied global warming was real? Now you’re saying you actually knew it was real and your real argument is there’s nothing we can do about it?

I was waiting for the day republicans stopped denying it. Trump denied it. Glad to see you’re giving up your lie for a different argument.

No, I was a believer in Christianity until I reached the age of 40 but then I looked for Jesus, and he was nowhere to be found, for 10 years I searched and I searched from Protestants sermons and history books and I found God and Jesus nowhere. I found that every ancient civilization has their Gods or God, and its not much difference than Christianity.

I miss him, but I do not believe in Gods or God anymore. I thought I'd be alive forever and I believed in heaven and hell. I let on to my brothers as they all believe in Jesus and they are all RC (of which I was and my parents as well), , I even let on to some of my friends because without Christ you are titled for sympathy because you are a non believer. I have found that people that believe in Christ are less tolerant of people. They don't how precious life it.

Evidence that the world is round is going to make me the best possible version of myself it is possible to be.
Because there is evidence of both I can now live a most fulfilling life. All because of the evidence of global warming, of plate tectonics, etc.

Oh, and if there were physical evidence of Jesus walking on water or changing water into wine, my life would be instantly better. Those two events are going to make me the best possible version of myself it is possible to be.

People of faith are not looking for evidence, we are listening to teachings to guide us through our own personal journeys. Put God first. Love others as you love yourself. You are the salt of the earth. Your sins are forgiven. Blessed are periods of mourning. Blessed are those who bring peace to those around them. Forgive as you wish to be forgiven. And a plenitude more.

Went through two natural child-births. When I had my appendix out, took me a full month to recover from being knocked out. (Can't drink, either. )

Just saying we shouldn't put everyone in the same box. I have my reasons for opting for no mask, no vaccine. That doesn't mean I think everyone has the same reasons I have. We are not cookie stamps of each other, and it should not bother people when another type of cookie opts for something different than we did.

I'm an atheist and I and many others see religion as a social club-------everyone needs something to believe in and wants to feel like they belong. The religion one chooses is usually the one that they were born into as they imprinted on as a child. It's hard to convince people who weren't brainwashed as kids that there are talking snakes and eating a magical knowledge fruit is somehow evil while a vicious punishing vindictive god is somehow good when he smites people all over the place.

Atheism is its own Arrogant Condescending Club. Atheist High Priest Richard Dawkins calls himself and his sheep "brights" and insists that all of you are so very smart, so scientific, so *rational* and *logical* that you must SURELY be *right*.
