To me, this is a form of crony capitalism which is usually good for a some government officials and a few corporate executives. I know this happens all the time, but I'm still against it.
On the one hand this or that person should pay their fair share.
On the other governments can use tax breaks to encourage citizens or companies to do civic friendly things. Like a tax break for offering health care to employees so the government doesn't have to or this or that.
Just debating. Generally I'm against TIFF funds and all that.
