There was so much great music from the late sixties and seventies where groups actually played instruments and wrote songs from all different genres, it all started to go wrong in the 80s, even though there was some great music in the 80s and 90s but less and less, so we are where we are today with rap crap which at times is very good but it isn't music it's poetry, we have so called singers who think cavorting half dressed on stage makes up for lack of talent, just happy i lived through the good times of music, i am a rock fan but also like music from Soul Motown even some Country among others.

In my opinion the same thing has happened with Cinema, in the 60s and 70s there were so many great films in the 70s great films were coming out almost every week, it was probably the 90s when it all went wrong, of course there are always some good films among all the garbage, many modern films always seem to rely on unrealistic special effects, in the70s there were some of the best Westerns and crime films made.

Quality was swamped by quantity and the Great Makers aged out died off or retired fully
