Metaphysics is summed up as "essence begets existence" whereas existentialism is summed up as "existence begets essence."
There is nothing abstract about existentialism, it is real and we see it in the real world every day.

Western science is much more a distillation of knowledge gained by Greek philosophers and mathematicians than Christianity. Let’s remember that it was the Catholic Church that held back humanity for 800 years during the Dark Ages as they ruthlessly suppressed any view dissenting from church orthodoxy.

While great Hindu philosophers have done even more with mathematics, great Greek pantheistic philosophers more with medicine, great Buddhist (and Taoist!) philosophers more with chemistry ... and every last one of them has been superseded by entirely secular scholars as the boundaries of knowledge have been pushed back by specialized researchers.

The day of the pre-eminent religious/philosophical/scientific polymath has come and gone. I don't call it good or bad. I call it truth.

In fact, it is little more than a sermon. It contains not one whit of reasoning from evidence. This is characteristic of philosophy in general and theology in particular.
