This is the same problem that Christians have. Trying to prove the validity of what you think are holy writings by those writings themselves just doesn't work. Doesn't matter if it is the Koran or the Bible. There is no more evidence of Mohammed splitting the moon than there is for Lazarus being raised from the dead. Anybody can believe what they want to believe, but we all still need to live on this earth. When your religion, what ever that religion might be, causes undue hardship on others, it is wrong. Those kinds of actions are not the teachings of any major religion, and are an abomination no matter which direction you face to pray, or who you pray to.
