China Halts All Boeing Deliveries (and More)

The OP, and the entire Dimocrat establishment, are on the side of the CCP.
They demonstrated it during Covid, and now they are doing it again.
If you think your enemies are the Democrats, you have been duped by the establishment.

My view of teh dems are based on their spending decades telling me that they hate me and everything I stand for.

From what I hear, they mostly spent it politically, which is not going to help when the money stops.
Why do you think China needs the US to sustain its economic development?

It would seem the exact opposite to me since Americans need cheap imports to maintain any reasonable standard of living, and China has most of the rest of the world to buy its exports.

Trump will win...or not.

Yet it’s all a distraction to deceive you. Stop accepting it.

Your enemy is not your neighbor. It’s something far more powerful and devious.

SHUT OFF THE TV!

Does the left think it's good news? Foreign countries have been taking advantage of good old feeble Uncle Sam for decades with unfair tariffs. All the U.S. is asking for is a level playing field.

"The Chinese government orders airlines to suspend Boeing aircraft deliveries due to soaring tariffs and rising costs..."

"According to sources reported by Bloomberg, the Chinese government has instructed its airlines to not only suspend the acceptance of new Boeing jets but also to cease all purchases of aerospace equipment and components from U.S. manufacturers.

"This decision is rooted in the skyrocketing costs associated with U.S.-made aircraft, which have more than doubled due to the tariffs, making it financially unfeasible for Chinese airlines to accept new deliveries."

China Halts Boeing Deliveries Amid Trade War Escalation

Trump is probably ignorant of the tens of thousands of Boeing employees in US states like Washington, Missouri, and South Carolina; however, they are not oblivious to his misunderstanding (or worse) of trade as a zero-sum game.
Not sure if anyone has stated this.
This thread exposes the shortcomings of doing business with
an adversary like China. This is exactly why Trump wants to get manufacturing
back over here and not rely on countries like China. What would
happen if we went to war with them.
We need to mine our own rare earth minerals and not rely on China.

Can you provide any specific examples of "unfair tariffs" imposed on the US?

How do those tariffs compare to Trump's steel and aluminum taxes on Canada, the EU, China, Mexico and others during his first term?

Do you believe American corporate leaders who voluntarily moved their factories to China over the past 30 years view their Asian partners as adversaries?

Imho, instead of preparing for one more unnecessary war we should be looking at ways to tax war into extinction.

I bet they do now that China stopped shipments of Boeing parts, and rare earth minerals. :rolleyes-41:
I mean....come on, man.....

Why do you think China needs the US to sustain its economic development?
Because they have a flow of money from us to them, that is sustaining their current standard of living and budgets.

As that dries up, jobs, wages, budgets, will fall apart.

It would seem the exact opposite to me since Americans need cheap imports to maintain any reasonable standard of living,

I don't see that in my life or the lives of my peers. What we need are jobs. Mindless consumption is not a benefit to us.

and China has most of the rest of the world to buy its exports.

The rest of the world does not want to buy more exports. They want those jobs too. They want the money to flow to THEM, from trade.

China has NO CHANCE at all, of replaceing us wtih someone else. That is doomed and more than doomed from the start.

China is fucked. Utterly fucked. They should have seen the writing on the wall and aimed for a soft landing.

Instead, it will be a crash. they will be lucky to avoid a civil war.

SHUT OFF THE TV!

It's not the tv that I am talking about.

I was talking to a neighbor. He told me about his mother, who was discussing illegal immgiration.

She said, and I quote "we cannot take on the entire world's problems"

She was a first gen immigrant from columbia. BUT, she had emigrated and gotten her citizenship and she was identifying as MY FELLOW AMERICAN CITIZEN and looking out for OUR shared interests.

That is what I want from my fellow citizens.

She's dead of old age. Her idiot son, is Coloumbian, but raised here and in the cultrue of the American left. He identifies with the illegals based on RACE.

He scoffs at my interests as a working class AMERICAN.

He is hostile to my interests. THAT IS REAL. not a distraction.

China reacted to Trump's tariffs.
American corporations and consumers made China's rise possible.
There's no way to put that genie (dragon) back into the bottle, and an all-out US-China trade war would have global consequences.

What would a US-China trade war do to the world economy?

"The US and China together account for such a large share of the global economy, around 43% this year according to the International Monetary Fund.

"If they were to engage in an all-out trade war that slowed their growth down, or even pushed them into recession, that would likely harm other countries' economies in the form of slower global growth.

"Global investment would also likely suffer.

"There are other potential consequences."

China is hurting far more than the US. China just needs to come to the table
understanding that Trump isn't Biden. :smoke:

You're living in the past.

"Over the past two decades, the world has witnessed a profound shift in the global economic and geopolitical landscape, as the rise of the BRICS nations has introduced a growing counterweight to the traditional dominance of the G7.

"Starting on Tuesday, leaders of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa are meeting in Johannesburg, South Africa for the 15th annual BRICS summit, with the blocs’ possible expansion one of the talking points high on the agenda."

If so, then we take a hit in our standard of living, then as wages rise as we take more of OUR market back, we become of a more balanced and healthy society.

And over there, they make up the loss of our market, with internal consumption or increased trade with their...other partners.

And everyone moves on and it's not that bad.

If NOT, then they crash and burn.

We shall see.

And all meaningless when you understand who your real enemy is.

No, it's not meaningless. He supports policies that are hostile to me and mine based on his leftism and his racism.

That's real.

Your denial is...delusional.

So, is China going to buy new planes and scrap their Boeing fleet?

...cuz that's going to take awhile.
