Trump threatens 100% tariffs on all Canadian goods if Canada 'makes a deal with China'

You're kidding, right? Hasn't America been China's biggest trade partner since the Clinton era? If America can "cozy" up to her enemies then who is America to tell others they can't? Flawed logic.
The largest economy on the planet, that's who.

We shoud not tolerate our enemies in our own backyard.

The nonsense about the US trading with China is just that. Nonsense.

We do not do trade to harm ourselves or Canadians, but it appears that Canada has decided to be an enemy to the US.

We don't need Canada.

I think Trump is concerned about Transnational trading.

Canada has a right to export to any nation on earth, including China. I dont want to import as much as some want and certainly not national security related products.

This will get everyones attention. PM Carneys speech at the WEF probably upset America and some of their agencies.

U.S. President Donald Trump is threatening to impose a 100 per cent tariff on all Canadian goods entering the United States if Canada "makes a deal with China" — a forceful message that comes days after Prime Minister Mark Carney delivered a speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, widely viewed as pushback on U.S. actions.

Trump did not specifiy what a "deal" means in his social media post. Last week, Canada reached an agreement with China to allow 49,000 Chinese electric vehicles into the market at a lowered tariff rate of 6.1 per cent in exchange for China lowering tariffs on Canadian canola.

"If Governor Carney thinks is he going to make Canada a 'Drop Off Port' for China to send goods and products into the United States, he is sorely mistaken," the U.S. president wrote in his post.
The loser on this deal is Trump and the US. Trump should not have intentionally alienated this ally or the others.

This is just more empty bluster from the orange buffoon, but I wouldn't be shocked if Carney tried something to suck up to him anyway, as he has done before.

Hahaha. Have you been to Walmart or Home Depot lately? 90% of their product is from China.

What products do we need from Canada?
Are you seriously that uninformed?
We bring in oil and gas, lumber, aluminum, steel, copper, uranium, they manufacture part for cars, heavy machinery and electronics, dairy, meat, paper products... the list is almost endless.

Stop embarrassing yourself.

Right, that's when the joke about Canada becoming a 51 state comes into play...

The Canadians don't see that as a joke. Nor does the rest of NATO or the EU or even the UN.

In fact, literally nobody but you tRumplings does.

China led by Xi has made moves that could easily be understood as the Economic part of WWIII. For Canada to ally with China at a time like this seems like an incredibly unwise direction to go in.

When China is welcomed in and becomes powerful in any other nation they eat them alive.

Jim Rickards

There’s no telling how he’ll deploy this fund. Anything is possible. We’ll just have to wait and see.

But Aaron, if Social Security running out of money makes you sick? Brace yourself…

Because guess who profits from this mess?

CHINA!

In addition to taking most of our manufacturing jobs…

The U.S. government admits…

We rely on China for 100% of 20 key minerals.

These are critical to everything from NVIDIA’s A.I. Chips to Elon Musk’s EVs, robots and satellites… to advanced military weaponry like F-16 fighters and drones. Practically every device with an “on” button.

And late last year, China cut us off!

Aaron Gentzler

Cut us off in what way?

Jim Rickards

China blocked the export of these critical minerals to the United States.

Meaning if we don’t act – our whole economy could tip into crisis.

This reminds me of the 1970s, and the Arab Oil Embargo.

Back then, I was working with the Nixon administration. I was part of an elite team plotting a secret take-over of Saudi Arabia’s oil fields. It was our plan-B if they didn’t agree to our demands.

Anyway… I bring this up because the same kind of thing is happening today in the market for critical minerals.

Which is why Trump is moving fast to unlock this $150 trillion endowment.

This is a symptom of a larger problem.
The problem is NATO in its entirety. It must be abolished.

Canada is not going anywhere not pivoting to China 76% of Canadian exports come across the border to the Fusa

Canada kicks Trump.webp

Well great, considering I never suggested your imagination wasn't what you are certainly more satisfied and comfortable with.
Damn, you have some problems with cognitive dissonance. :auiqs.jpg:

Not at all, you could be flashing a neon sign over your head saying what you are, another sorry little MAGAt hoping Trump makes your dreams come true (until he wrecks the economy on you.)

At what point did you fail to understand that your imagination will never be correct?
If you keep seeing things, why don't you lay off the drugs a little?

Personally I do believe that President Trump is pretty much correct that China would probably gobble up Canada much as it has gobbled up Africa and a significant percentage of South America!

This is especially true if we Canadians keep on electing actors like Mr. Justin Trudeau and Mr. Michael Ignatieff who seem to be more worried about appearing to be more cool or handsome or intelligent than President Trump!

Instead of fighting against Trump you could?

When did this happen? China has good relations in the Global South because while the US has been slashing aid to everyone except the Zionist Entity, they've been helping build needed infrastructure through the belt and road initiative.

This is especially true if we Canadians keep on electing actors like Mr. Justin Trudeau and Mr. Michael Ignatieff who seem to be more worried about appearing to be more cool or handsome or intelligent than President Trump!

China isn't the one threatening to annex Canada or wreck it's economy.

that would be Cheeto Hitler.
