CEO of United Healthcare Killed by Gunman

I heard that he might have survived, but he couldn't go to the nearest ER, because it was out-of-network.

I'm reminded of the Mark Twain quote that went something like "I have never wished anyone dead, but I have read some obituaries with great satisfaction." This guy literally made his money by killing people by denying their claims. UH, by far, had the highest claims rejection rate of any major insurance company. Nobody weeps over people who kill for money.

Like both Trump shooters, the guy was most likely conservative, since it's almost always conservatives trying assassinations. Count on a lot more disgruntled conservatives taking up arms against their masters. That's so often the fate of cult leaders, being done in by an angry cultist once the reality of the cult's corruption sets in.

1) From my observation it was a younger guy. He walked a few paces at a normal speed, and his stance was that of a youngish guy.

2) As far as the Medicare changes, I have regular Medicare and then have UHC as my supplemental, and they’ve covered everything. The Advantage Plans were never as good as just going with Medicare + a supplemental.
For each person, it will be different. For me, Medicare Advantage HMO is better than the supplements and doesn't cost more. That's why there are many plans. It's just that UHC is discontinuing HMOs and that will hurt a lot of people if they don't know how to shop for better plans. And, there is the issue with preexisting conditions to get a new carrier as well.

Yet this is what you Wingnuts want, a bunch of greedy corporations deciding if you are entitled to health care or not.

Really? When did I say I wanted that?

I pay 5000 dollars a year for health insurance. Yet whenever I need it, they deny it. If I pay for something, I AM ENTITLED TO IT.

I hope that bullet hurt.

Yet I am sure you absolutely lost your shit when Obama proposed Obamacare.

Yea because its subsidised by taxpayers.

Mine is not, I pay 100% of my own premium. BIG DIFFERENCE.

Stupidity like this is why you got your asses handed to you in 2010 and 2024.

That’s WHEN I had to start paying almost $10,000 a year in premiums for a lousy plan with a limited network and high deductible. Obamacare made health insurance unaffordable for many middle class earners.

Precisely. These idiot liberals don’t have a clue.

I had the misfortune of needing PT when I was forced onto Obamacare. The fee I had to pay WITH insurance was more than I would have had to pay if I had no insurance at all - and that was after paying $800 a month in premiums.

in the meantime, the poor and low-income people got it all for free.

All joking aside. That is fucked up and I hope they catch the guy.

Same thing I said in the Seth Rich hit.

No, stupidity is letting big healthcare and insurance companies screw you and then saying, "Thank you, Sir. May I have another?"

Countries that have single payer don't have these problems.

Yeah and they're moving away from it.

No, stupidity is saying "Yes, fit young guy in his 20's with no health problems, we will force you to pay for a fat persons healthcare costs which are never ending." I have a choice of what company to go with, single payer you are FORCED to go with the gov't. **** THAT.

No, they don't have THESE problems, they just have to wait 6 months for basic care. Why, if its so great, do these people fly to the USA to get needed surgeries and such?

Here is a quote from the CEO's wife: "There had been some threats," Thompson's wife told NBC News. "Basically, I don't know, a lack of [health care] coverage? I don't know details. I just know that he said there were some people that had been threatening him."

Note she mentions about "Lack of health care coverage." Just what I am talking about. The changes being made hurt a lot of seniors. Perhaps the changes being made to all of UHC clients were just as negative too. People with preexisting conditions would have trouble finding coverage, especially Medicare persons. So, the age of the killer may not matter.

On a serious note, if they start shooting CEO's instead of school kids, we might actually get sensible gun laws in this country
If Kamala can own a gun, why can’t everyone else?

How many school shootings were done by the legal owners of the guns they used?
