We already know the Secret Service is compromised. No other president has had four assassination attempts against him while the Secret Service sleeps on the job.

It took them 20 seconds to get Trump off the stage after the shots were fired. That's despicable.

The Secret Service isn’t compromised.

The shooting happened outside the building at a security checkpoint. The president was inside out of sight of the shooter.

I don’t see a big deal with it taking less than 30 seconds to get him off the stage.

First, they need to know where to take him in order to ensure he’s not moved into a line of fire. Plus there were thousands of people there and several possible targets.

Did the Secret Service not stop the threat? Shifting the blame to "security" issues does nothing but minimize the real problem, just as writing off the attempted assassination by saying "Well he was just crazy" or saying "We have a gun problem."

I think the security days prior to such an event can be scrutinized. There is a question about people checking in days prior who may be armed.

As far as security at the event goes, there are is a series of checkpoints outside the event. This shooting happened at one of those checkpoints and he was subdued at a checkpoint.

The hotel has many entry and exit points. How those were secured could or should be looked at as well.
