How can there be optimism in Geneva?

In an address to an assembly of tens of thousands of Basij militiamen in Iran a couple of days ago, Khamenei spoke out in the "most extreme, inflammatory and disgraceful manner against the State of Israel,” saying that the Israelis cannot be called human beings because they are animals….... rabid dogs … Israel is doomed to destruction......etc etc etc....

Then footage of the event showed the pro Iranian Regime crowd shouting “Death to America” and “Death to Israel.”


So ........ Iran's supreme leader voices support for the negotiations on one hand..... and on the other hand spews all that rubbish and hatred?????

How on earth there can be any optimism left in Geneva?????
