Calling Out Alang1216: The God of Abraham is a myth

Is that why you only attack beliefs in the God of Abraham? Because you like Christians? I suspect your disdain for Christians is politically motivated. Abortion, gay marriage, etc.
The God of Abraham is also the God of the Jews and Muslims, so there is no monopoly. I live in a Christian country so I'm surrounded by Christians whose choices impact me directly. I'd wager the majority of people on USMB are Christian so what you see of my writing is skewed by that. I rarely discuss Christianity in real life.

Incorrect. It’s how people work the system. Oops, need to write another law to close that loophole.
I'm not sure what 'work the system' means but I'm surprised you feel this way. I'd have bet you'd have more respect for the US Constitution, the 10 Commandments, and the Bible.

Repeating the same mantra over and over is not convincing, especially in the presences of evidence to the contrary. Data would be useful and you are unable to back up what you say with evidence.
There is no evidence to the contrary. Standards aren’t randomly established for no good reason. Standards are based upon outcomes. Lower your standards and you will get worse outcomes. Raise your standards and you will get better outcomes. You have all the evidence you need from your own experiences.

Horeshit. You are driven by your politics. You are anti-Christian because of your politics. I don’t care if you don’t discuss Christianity in your life outside of these boards. Your discussions inside these boards reveals your true colors.

The system is based on legal positivism which began sometime in the late 1800’s. The system is the letter of the law. God forbid anyone do the right thing unless it is spelled out in the law. That’s the system.

Can you explain why different cultures have different standards or why standards change over time?

Many Christians are quite liberal. You are so pro-Christian that any other mindset, including a neutral one, is, to you, 'anti-Christian'.

I think it was found that the 'right thing' was impossible to agree on and was a poor foundation for the law. Or maybe I don't understand your point, got an example?

Yes, many Christians are liberal. None of them single out the God of Abraham as their reason for atheism.

So, no. I am not so Christian that any other mindset including a neutral one is anti-Christian to me.

I’m not pro-Christian. I’m pro-God. Many Christians including some Catholics are horrible witnesses. You see me opposing their behaviors all the time.

Your problem believing the God of Abraham is a myth is Jesus Christ. You have no answer for that.

My point is that as a people we have forgotten God. So rather than voluntarily doing the right thing, we have to write more and more laws because people are only intent on following laws rather than doing the right thing.

Was there ever a place and time when men voluntarily did the right thing without the need for written or oral laws?

Answers:
  • The actual words of Jesus we have today would fit on a single page.
  • Many quotations (Q) were accidently or deliberately lost.
  • Could someone who performed miracles have gone completely unnoticed by non-Christians?
  • Jesus preached the end of times but we're still waiting.
  • The only accounts of Jesus' life were written decades after the events by Christians and contain:
    • Theology of Christianity changed over time
    • Typos and other scribal errors
    • Deliberate additions
    • Contradictions, both historical and theological

No examples, got it.

All the time. It’s shocking that you don’t believe you have ever done it.

Non-Christian historians recorded Jesus was worshipped by the first Christians. The Babylonian Talmud recorded Jesus was put to death for sorcery and blaspheme. 24,000 written manuscripts detailed the miracles performed by Christ and his resurrection.
