BREAKING: Trump Reaches Potential Deal for Greenland

With a military threat.

That's not negotiation.

It's the opposite.

It's not admirable in any way. But cultism dictates that his supporters somehow find a way to praise him for it.

It's not a military threat. NATO knows that without a United States in the world, their collective geese are cooked. Now we know the real reason President Trump wants Greenland: It's not for oil, minerals, Lebensraum, or to add more territory to the US. President Trump wants Greenland for its strategic location to build a "Golden Dome", which would easily intercept and destroy incoming missiles from Russia or China.

Apparently you Trump-haters are so blinded by your own ignorance and hatred, that you don't remember President Reagan's Strategic Defense Initiative, or "Star Wars" as it was called. Just the fear alone that the Russians had from Reagan's proposition, was enough to cause the fall of the Soviet Union. You can argue all you want to that Reagan's idea of the SDI had nothing to do with that, but you'd be wrong.

In fact, Lockheed Martin is already working on this...

Golden Dome for America

I’ve done plenty of research. Your post hoc analysis doesn’t really mean much.
Such bad faith.

Left wing blogs and news outlets will tell you very little beyond what you want to hear.

Bad faith is claiming you know what Trump is thinking and doing but refusing to tell anyone until after the fact and then patting yourself on the back.

Bad faith is claiming that you should only pay attention to what happens, but refusing to acknowledge that nothing has actually happened.

Bad faith is congratulating Trump for “fixing” a problem he caused.

That video is not at all in support of illegal immigration. I'm definitely AGAINST illegal immigration, even more than your guy, Don the Con. So you either didn't watch it, or you have horrible comprehension and missed the entire point. But again, I'm not interested, so go find someone else to harass and lie about.

I watched it, it's implying using ICE to remove illegals is creating a 'police state', which is bullshit. It's implying that both R's and D's created the situation, which is also false, in order to have the 'response', i.e. the police state that doesn't exist. I don't want to go off of the topic of the thread, but if you oppose ICE, whose job it is to enforce immigration laws, then you are not against illegal immigration. It's pretty simple.

You've never negotiated a thing in your life, have you?

The left seems to like the Obama/Biden style of "negotiating":

Do the American people want to conquer Greenland?

Amazingly, many do, from what I've been seeing. At least here at USMB. NGL, the arrogance and hypocritical ugliness I've been seeing in regard to taking over other countries makes me believe we deserve to lose our republic. Or get hit by a giant meteor.

I
I would have preferred him leave it alone, but this is quite impressive.

And no, we don't need to go in the business of building gulags.
I think you'll find, if what he says is true, it will not include the US owning Greenland. Probably more trade deals and preferential treatment. Nobody likes a bully. Funny, I remember the good old days when the US was the one kicking the shit out of bullies. Now it's transformed into one. Interesting.

I mean, the Louisiana Purchase and purchase of Alaska were good things, were they not?
Yeah, and both the Russians and the French were willing sellers. In fact, Russia thought they got the better deal because they saw Alaska as nothing more than a cold, tundra, wasteland.

Follow your own advice. And you just typed up useless words as at least with Trump there is a method to the madness. It is possible that Greenland will be good for the whole Western Hemisphere including all of the cultures and races.

That's the leftist narrative talking.

Why? Denmark is a great country, always in the top 5 when it comes to the happiness index, has a good culture and good economy. What's not to like.

They'll definitely be happy when they get $700B in cold hard cash.

"Framework for a future deal" sounds like TACO time to me.

What can and how is he fixing it?
By doing something about it.

People mocking the idea of the U.S. buying Greenland don’t know history.

1867 – Andrew Johnson: explored buying Greenland & Iceland (right after Alaska).

WWII – FDR: U.S. took over Greenland’s defense while Denmark was occupied.

1946 – Truman: offered $100M in gold to buy it.

Cold War – Eisenhower → Kennedy: nonstop negotiations for bases, radar, missiles.

Post–Cold War – Clinton/Bush/Obama: expanded Arctic security & missile defense.

2019 – Trump: said publicly what presidents discussed privately for 150+ years.

The U.S. didn’t “suddenly” want Greenland. It’s been defending it, negotiating it, and embedding there since the 1800s.

Greenland = Arctic power, shipping lanes, missiles, minerals.

Trump didn’t invent it.He said the quiet part out loud.

Presidents haven’t “discussed privately” buying Greenland for 150 years.

You really don’t have to believe every random thing you read on Facebook.
