The bottom line is if Greenland was invaded by say China no nation in NATO would have to defend them... especially if the conditions at the time would mean WW3... I'm sure we would be asked to intervene and as things are today we would... but down the road there are no guarantees like there are with NATO member nations...
And you can forget Denmark being bad enough to ward off China militarily.... they just aren't big and bad enough...
Its in Greenlands best interest to buddy up with us and allow a larger US military footprint which was the argument all along...
