A military alliance is a formal, legally binding treaty between nations pledging mutual defense and cooperation in security matters, often requiring members to defend each other if attackedSince Greenland is already in a military alliance with the USA, we could have done this anytime we wanted to.
What is different now? What did Trump “achieve” that we didn’t already have?
If anything, Greenland (and Denmark) are going to be more reluctant to let the US build bases in the island then they were before this whole drama started.
We have no such alliance with Greenland... this is what we are working to have... after the cold war we closed 3 of our bases only keep an air force base mainly for weather tracking....
