From what I've read, the vast majority of Greenlanders want to stay with the Kingdom of Denmark, but want a little more autonomy. Bit like Puerto Ricans. Everytime they have a vote to become a state they say no, but still want to be a territory due to cultural identity, and not having to pay federal taxes (among other reasons).
