So you may be guilty or you may be innocent but if you do not have the money to post bail you cannot get out of jail. So if you wait for a trail and you are found not guilty. You as an innocent person has been in jail waiting for the trial and verdict.
Still the main issues the wish to address the use of placing bail as a way to keep people in jail. The prosecution would need to make a clear case that they should be in jail for the most serious offenses. They can make a case to deny bond and the judge will have to agree. So the serious offenders will not even be allowed to post bail
the issue is the presumption of the state that you need to make money an issue to get them to return for the trial. Yet there is no guarantee that even if they post bail that they will show back up for trial .

I never said that they should be let out WITHOUT bail for serious crimes that can be proven by the police based on their investigation. You may have misunderstood the concept of mass arrest. IF the police cannot proof that the person arrested actually did the crime then they will be released without bail.
The issues of solidary confinement with the capitol rioters is a COVID issue. They have to control the possible spread of COVID in confinement.
