BREAKING EXCLUSIVE: 73-Year-Old Pastor and Purple Heart Veteran Arrested For Being at Capitol, His Son Also Arrested in Front of 3-Year-Old Daughter (

Well it is clear she supports bond for those arrested.

She lent them vocal support but it appears she didn't lend them money.

Still I am sure Trump lends the capitol protestor vocal support but he certainly has not lent them any money.
Since when is politics used to free criminals who burn, loot and destroy? Kamala directly supported that. Thirteen members of Biden's staff donated to bail out rioters as well. After Floyd's death MFF (the entity the provided bail funds) raised $38 million dollars under the guise of supporting the 'no bail' initiative. All the Internet 'fact checkers' have rushed to Kamala's and the Democrat party's defense claiming bail is somehow 'racist' becaise blacks somehow can't ever make bail so (in their view) no one should be made to pay bail. The Democrats and Kamala definitely support racism because they think in terms of skin color and not America and the values we have learned from such luminaries like MLK. They seem to support racism to the point of wanting to free criminals IF they have the politically correct skin color.

Jan 6th was a protest against all that and for traditional American values and real Americans that live, love and work side by side regardless of skin color, race, creed or religion. Democrats clearly want to divide US.

Bail is not political it is a right for any person ACCUSED of a crime. They have not been found guilty of a crime which is a big difference if you want to call them a criminal.

The bail is not just for a race it is for anyone involved in BLM protest. Last I seen there were many white people and other races involved in the protest. SO how is that raciest.

Sounds like the race card is being played. If people want to spend money on this fund and there are many people of different races who contribute then how is this raciest.

Out of more than 1,000 people arrested in several major Texas cities during the first week of protests following the death of George Floyd, arrest records show that only a small portion were cited for violent crimes or theft, according to a report from Texas Monthly.

Most of those arrested during the protests were instead accused of low-level offenses like breaking curfew or blocking roads. Another popular charge, disorderly conduct, was said to be defined as "traveling with a large crowd and refusing officers' commands to disperse" or "inciting breach of the peace" during the demonstrations

Dozens were arrested for "riot participation," a broad charge under Texas law that has been questioned by some legal experts

So people of different races participated, were arrested, and send money for this fund. It can be about race in a narrow sense. it can be about politics in a narrow sense but when it bring people of different races together for a cause then it is a movement for equality in the bigger picture.

There is a bigger picture that is being played in politics, and at the dinner table.

Dare I say for the children.
The MMF fund is to promote the elimination of bail. A 'get out of jail free' card. As far as those arrested who were not violent, what about the Jan 6th protesters who were put in solitary for trespassing? Kamala hasn't promoted bailing them out. BTW that guy in your PIX with the sign is actually racist because he believes that America is racist. He sees Americans by skin color. I feel sorry for his little girl there.

MMF fund does not eliminate bail, it pays the bail which is allowed under any legal jurisdiction.

Yes they get out of jail but they still can be charged at a later date.

about Jan 6th , Elizabeth Warren (MA) and Dick Durbin (IL) spoke up against the harsh treatment of people taken into custody for the Jan. 6 Capitol “riot.” Still solitary confinement was dealing with COVID issues

Still Trump could have pardon them before he left but I guess he was making plans for his getaway.

Still why hasn't anyone or even Trump set up a way to post bail for them. I would guess those in confinement could not pay bail. IF they are patriots , why hasn't repubs done anything about bail. Trump has a lot of money.

Anyone in confinement should be able to post bail to get out and await trial or charges to be filed. It may be another issues if they do not have the money.

  • Abolish cash bail in Minnesota.
  • Advocate for wide-scale decarceration.
  • Move for the end of detention based on immigration status, race/ethnicity, and class.

Selective reading on your part.

it clearly states

Mission

The Minnesota Freedom Fund pays criminal bail and immigration bonds for those who cannot otherwise afford to as we seek to end discriminatory, coercive, and oppressive jailing

clearing stating that they pay bail and immigration bonds for those who cannot

  • Immediate Relief for Our Communities
    • Maximize the number of people we can release from cages through the payment of criminal and immigration bond

You simple state that Abolish cash bail in Minnesota. Yet you do not understand what that means. It is just one aspect of the total picture.

Some people in jail have not been convicted of any crime by a court of law. So any American knows "innocent until proven guilty" is the basis of the legal system.

So you may be guilty or you may be innocent but if you do not have the money to post bail you cannot get out of jail. So if you wait for a trail and you are found not guilty. You as an innocent person has been in jail waiting for the trial and verdict.

Still the main issues the wish to address the use of placing bail as a way to keep people in jail. The prosecution would need to make a clear case that they should be in jail for the most serious offenses. They can make a case to deny bond and the judge will have to agree. So the serious offenders will not even be allowed to post bail

the issue is the presumption of the state that you need to make money an issue to get them to return for the trial. Yet there is no guarantee that even if they post bail that they will show back up for trial .

Harris County, Texas, home to the third-largest jail system in the country, reformed its pretrial system as part of a consent decree to virtually eliminate the use of money bail for misdemeanor charges.

New Jersey passed a suite of criminal justice reforms in 2016 that essentially eliminated cash bail and created a new pretrial services program. Since implementing these reforms in 2017, New Jersey saw a 20 percent reduction in its jail population. In 2017, 95 percent of defendants were released pretrial and 89 percent of them appeared at their trial date.

Still it is the state that must reform the system and make changes in the law. MFF cannot reform the system or make changes in the law. They can only assist by paying the bond and talk about change to the state legislation.

You are the one selectively reading. Funny, there is no explanation of a 'serious offender.' Anyone participating in a riot is a serious offender whether committing crimes or aiding and abetting by being on scene proactively. Also why did Kamala contribute? She is known for slapping folks in jail in her former iteration as CA DA. She never advocated for 'no bail' then. Mostly men I might add. Also why is MFF geared toward people of color? Apparently you can't see that MMF is a smokescreen for treating folks differently according to their skin color and a veiled attempt to decriminalize certain crimes if they fit the 'correct' political definition. Sorry your 'hearts and flowers' description of MMF is just ignorant. You should do some reading

"A Minnesota nonprofit has bailed out defendants from Twin Cities jails charged with murder, violent felonies, and sex crimes, as it seeks to address a system that disproportionately incarcerates Black people and people of color."

"Among those bailed out by the Minnesota Freedom Fund (MFF) is a suspect who shot at police, a woman accused of killing a friend, and a twice convicted sex offender, according to court records reviewed by the FOX 9 Investigators."

"According to attempted murder charges, Jaleel Stallings shot at members of a SWAT Team during the riots in May. Police recovered a modified pistol that looks like an AK-47. MFF paid $75,000 in cash to get Stallings out of jail."

"Darnika Floyd is charged with second degree murder, for stabbing a friend to death. MFF paid $100,000 cash for her release."

"Christopher Boswell, a twice convicted rapist, is currently charged with kidnapping, assault, and sexual assault in two separate cases. MFF paid $350,00 in cash for his release."

If fox reported it then it must be true. Still the court system set the bail . If the people were that dangerous then bail would have been denied. They will still have to face a trial.

If found guilty then they will go to jail

For every questionable bail, how many were for low level crimes. Yet your assumption is if they were arrested, then they must be guilty

Cities Drop Most Charges Against BLM Protesters as Cops Fail to Provide Evidence

90 percent arrested and charges dropped in Portland. Why because COP's failed to provide evidence

As previously stated. Bail can be denied by the court for the most serious offenders or there is a high risk of flight

IF found guilty despite being bailed they will still go to jail.

The only points being made is to blame Harris.

So now its a crime to GO TO the Capitol? Because that's all this guy did.
You think communist shit-heads like okfine care? To him the guy is a “right winger” so he could care less if he is thrown into a gulag when being completely innocent. These are neo-Bolsheviks we are dealing with, not Americans.

Fox is just a media outlet the same as CNN or MSNBC, or the alphabet networks so you can shove that comment up your ass. Violent criminals don't give a shit, they'll just re-commit crimes and evade law enforcement. BTW If you are so adamant about your stance do you agree the Jan 6 protestors should be let out without bail? Some were held in solitary for trespassing.

"Many participants in the Jan. 6 Capitol riots are being held in solitary confinement in Washington, D.C.'s city jail"

"After Jan. 6, Washington, D.C., jail officials decided that all Capitol riot detainees be held in “restrictive housing” as a safety measure for the accused. However, the accused found themselves in solitary confinement 23 hours a day before their trials even started."

Where was Kamala??? Oh yeah, wrong politics.

"BREAKING EXCLUSIVE: 73-Year-Old Pastor and Purple Heart Veteran Arrested For Being at Capitol, His Son Also Arrested in Front of 3-Year-Old Daughter"

The OP is wrongly worded. It should read: "Rather than leave the scene a 73-Year-Old Pastor allowed his son and 3-Year-Old Daughter to witness street violence".

Ps. They don't reward protesters a purple heart so you must have been lied to.

Yes indeed, as violent BLM and Antifa types get charges tossed.

Here we have the police state writ large.

They were very scared over the mostly peaceful protest of January 6.

A 73-year-old Purple Heart Vietnam veteran and pastor James Cusick has been arrested at his home in Florida for being at the Capitol on January 6, though he was not involved in any violence or vandalism.

His son Casey, was also arrested in front of his distraught 3-year-old daughter who asked why they were locking her dad’s hands. He is also not accused of any violence or vandalism. Videos of the heartbreaking scene were provided to the Gateway Pundit.
The arrests took place on Thursday morning.
“This morning I saw a sheriff pull up in our driveway with his lights on and there was about four or five other cars with them,” his daughter Staci told the Gateway Pundit. “They came up to our front door and I told my dad to go answer it. As he started towards the door they started banging and banging and saying ‘open up we have a warrant.’ He opened the door and they asked him his name and to step outside.”

...
James Cusick was shocked, she said, to find out what the arrest was about. When he was at the Capitol he was friendly with officers, who directed him to a bathroom. His daughter says that they never told him to leave. He began to defend himself, but the agents and sheriffs reminded him that everything he says can be used against him and to wait until he has a lawyer.
“I asked him if they would take the handcuffs off of him because I was upset seeing my 73-year-old father in handcuffs. They said no,” Staci said.
...

There might have been a peaceful protest about something somewhere in America on 1-6, but it was not at the capital. 73 year old grandaddy should not have committed sedition. He has just learned the cost of being deceived by satan.

I don't know very much about sedition or satan but when the shit hits the fan most caring people take their loved ones out of harm's way. We strongly criticize others for using women and children as human shields .... so?

I never said that they should be let out WITHOUT bail for serious crimes that can be proven by the police based on their investigation. You may have misunderstood the concept of mass arrest. IF the police cannot proof that the person arrested actually did the crime then they will be released without bail.

The issues of solidary confinement with the capitol rioters is a COVID issue. They have to control the possible spread of COVID in confinement.

Oh yeah, wrong politics.
where was trump when his people needed him. Oh yeah sneaking out of Washington

(BTW If you are so adamant about your stance do you agree the Jan 6 protestors should be let out without bail? Some were held in solitary for trespassing.)

No matter how you look at it, unequal justice due to politics is taking place all across this nation today.

Making slick excuses for it doesn't help, because people aren't that dumb to not know how multiple political agenda's are behind a lot of the bullcrap taking place today.

Ignoring the political aspect of it all is simply put just "crazy", and it puts you in either one camp or another. You are smart, but I'm just wondering if it's being smart in an evil way or what, otherwise by manipulating the truth for unpopular political purposes maybe ?

I guess the events, and the action's of your party will tell the tale sooner or later. If bad on the democrat's part, it will eventually show up bigly (already is), and if not, then that will eventually show up as well, but if one looks at what the Democrat's stand for in policies etc, then it just don't look good on the Democrat's. And so the truth ends up being a hard thing to come by when the action's of the party tells another tale than what is always being pushed in the excuses made afterwards.

Really? Then why weren't the summer rioters put in solitary? Why doesn't Kamala promote a bail fund for the Jan 6th PROTESTERS? This prosecution of Jan 6th PROTESTERS is nothing but a political witch-hunt (one of many) to ensure Trump cannot run in 2024. The establishment Democrats are scared to death. The tried 4 years of a fake Russia investigation, they mounted a fake one-sided impeachment, they went after Trump's associates on fake charges and now, they are going after his CFO for a company car. As your 'hero' Joe Blow would say.....'Come on man!'
