Because his freedom to practice religion includes my kids’ freedom to be free FROM his religion. Just because his religion requires him to eat the faces off people doesn’t mean others have to participate in that activity. I mean, if there is some group of wiccans out there who also believe they should eat faces, and if they consent to be the ones to have said faces eaten, who am I to stand in their way, but if someone else is not a part of that cult and chooses to not participate in having their faces eaten, then the wiccan shouldn’t have their face eaten.

If we are going to use freedom of religion as an argument, you have to be consistent, otherwise you’d have people doing what you are doing, and come up with way far out examples of obscure practices in order to defeat your freedom of religion argument.


I say it like this, you are free to practice your religion as you see fit, as long as it doesn’t harm someone who doesn’t want to be a participant in your religion.
