When people who chose not to buy insurance get sick, cover them, but make them wait a full calendar year before coverage goes into effect.

And call it repealed and replaced.

Voila!

That's how O Care works now . If you miss the open window you can't get it .

I think you can still buy private health insurance, and you cannot be denied coverage because you'd now have a pre-existing condition. But you wouldn't be eligible for subsidies under Obamacare.

actually, if the ACA were to be repealed, insurance companies WOULD be able to deny coverage for pre-existing conditions. this can be a nightmare for anyone who has to leave a job BECAUSE of illness. if the ACA is repealed, it would also allow companies to terminate coverage if someone becomes ill. And it would allow them to charge women more for coverage even though there is no basis for it.
