Our Beloved President recently threatened to take Kharg Island, then withdrew the threat citing positive developments in negotiations. Insiders say (and Trump acknowledges) that the American public (mainly the Leftists in Congress and Media) has no appetite for the casualties that would surely accompany such a major initiative, especially when it is publicly announced with 24 hours notice.

So here is my question. I post it here, assuming that many of you are, like me, Veterans, and have a feel for such things:

If you are one of those "boots on the ground," let's say a Marine grunt, what are you thinking about this whole quasi-War? It is being fought totally without your input, except as a threat. Are you content with being nothing more than a threat, knowing that the skills you have developed and the willingness you have to put your life on the line for your country are nothing more than an image to be exploited in negotiations?

While nobody wants to be a target, isn't this what you enlisted for?

We'll never resolve this thing through negotiations. Iran's word means nothing. If we want to end this thing, we need to take control of the Strait of Hormuz and Kharg Island. Iran can never have control of the Strait again. Iran will never stop until we stop them.

...and that's when Western Civilization ended

I could be wrong, but I think some of the sailors had enough and took action to return home

Hilarious. "Our beloved President?" Hahahaha. George Washington has been dead for a couple of hundred years now.
