You stick your foot right in a pile when you claim "Jesus Christ didn't die on the cross so you could hate a single thing." I have every God given right and I am entitled to hate evil intent from the moment I become aware of it no matter what that evil intent may be. Now if you choose to not do the same that is your personal problem but you have no right whatsoever to try to make, coerce or force me to believe it is right, moral or a correct mode of behavior. Nor will you. You are free to be homosexual if you like but I am also free to say I want no part of it in any manner. It is up to you to ban yourself if it upsets you.Acceptance of truth is not one of your strong points is it?Your dreaming big time but hey keep on wasting your time. Society has not accepted what you are pushing. The OP article testifies to that fact.See, here is where I think you are completely loony. The fact that you think it is deviant, abnormal and an abomination in God's eyes doesn't mean that everyone sees it as such. You are loony because you are complaining that homosexuals want you to accept it as normal, and here you are trying to get them and everyone that doesn't agree with you to see it as abnormal. It is not your business to declare it normal or abnormal....you don't have a say so. The highest court in the nation has already ruled it is legal for them to marry, and unless you can get a majority of Americans to agree with you, and demand a change from the Supreme Court, it is not going to change. And, I have repeated it several times.....I don't know what kind of hard head you have but "nobody is trying to convince you of anything" you're the one that is trying really hard to convince everyone that it is deviant, abnormal and an abomination in God's eyes.
Nobody is trying to form other people's children into believing it is perfectly normal, that is your paranoia talking.....the country is not bothered by it, so, since you are in the minority, if you don't like it, is up to you to remove yourself from society and take all those with you that you don't want affected by what society has accepted. It is really that simple.
Now, just go away....you're becoming really annoying with the fact that you don't understand anything being told to you and are just spewing nonsense.
LOLWuT?!?!?!
I thought Stephanie was the dumbest person here, but I think Rodishi just told her to move over....she thinks that because some right-wing nut county in Tenn has asked God for forgiveness for something they are not even responsible for, that it means the entire nation (society) agrees with her and with them. Loony does not really encompass the extent of the lunacy.
Controversial teen sex conference canceled amid public outrage
Normally I stay away from these kinds of discussions because rarely does anyone come away wiser or informed. But I'm stepping in because of the simple fact that Jesus Christ didn't die on the cross so you could hate a single thing.
Your particular religion can make anything a sin, there is no limit to what you can rail against, but it ends at your church door. The United States is a secular Democracy and the First Amendment to our constitution ensures that our laws are not based on those of any religion. And for that fact, any attempt to deny homosexuals equal rights or ban homosexuality based on a religious basis of sin is both unconstitutional and illegal.
It's fine if your religion wants to call something a sin no one in America has a right to object, but you should understand clearly that you have no right to try and make your definition of sin a matter of secular law. Simply stated, you are clouding the issue with your own set of personal biases, you get an E ticket ride to be a certified bigot but when you start to harm others with egregious conduct the free ride ends.
Now we can go back to the original post once again and look at the subject matter. People were voted into office and these people that represent the people that voted them into that position make a prayer. It is an open prayer and proclamation that they want no part of the destruction to come for the area whom they were duly elected and appointed to represent. Are your claims now that open prayer is illegal? If that is the case you better take that up with every congress member in each state and each congressional member in D.C. and put a stop to it all. At the same time the people of faith may rise up and oppose your ridiculous request.
As far as the sin part. If another wishes or desire to act in such a manner it is upon them personally. No one is entitled to make another accept abnormal behavior or go along with that behavior as it being a normal function when it is a personal matter of choice. Nor do they ave to give their children over to that agenda or allow their children to be taught that this a normally accepted behavior.
As far as sexual deviance or those preferences go; nothing in the constitution was ever ratified to say that personal behavior choices was ever meant to be a protected class.
Going back to a religious aspect of it. Marriage is a religious institution that has been existent for thousand upon thousands of years old. It is secularist homosexuals and their supporters or paid for flunkies that have desired and pushed their way into that religious field demanding that a religious institution, description and definition be changed in order to fill their own personal sexual desires. Therefore it is the secularist homosexuals that have pushed their agenda into religion. Even so, again that has nothing to do with the original OP article unless you are going to try to say that no one has God given right to make a prayer in an open setting.
"Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph."
For your information Jesus does a little hating also; "So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate."
