BLOCKED: A legislative bill to require that all voters are citizens of the United States

You see, it goes something like this:

We get control over our border. We put up a WALL in areas that have a lot of illegal traffic getting in. We put in electronic surveillance. We hire more border agents. We put electric fencing in places. We put barriers in the Rio Grande River that were there until the feds sued Texas to remove them. We arrest people who sneak in here, and we deport their ass back to Mexico. And then we start rooting out some of the 7 million who have crossed under Sleepy Joe's watch.

The "border bill" did none of this.

That is far too complicated for these simple minded folks to understand. Their party knows they can overwhelm their base with details and thus act as if it is rocket science to combine walls/barriers with technology to secure the border. Think about the fact that Democrats have claimed that walls and barriers do not work and their base has actually bought it. If Trump told me that wheels don’t work, I would have to disagree because I have enough sense to know that, despite that the “technology” is thousands of years old, wheels still work today. We can improve on them, but the basic premise remains the same and they are effective. The average Democrat isn’t smart enough to figure that out and their party leaders know it and love it.

There are laws against impersonating someone to gain credit or access their resources. To enforce those laws, we ask for documentary evidence, among other things, to prove identity. What if we didn’t enforce those existing laws and just took everyone’s word for it. You could walk into the bank and claim you were your rich neighbor and withdraw money from his account. That wouldn’t make much sense would it? You could argue that there are laws on the book against this sort of thing, but that didn’t help your neighbor much did it?

If we do not enforce the existing laws, making a new law will not change a thing, as they still will not be enforced.

Using your analogy, if the bank did not care about the existing laws, why would they care about one more?

If they can shut it down after x amount of entries, why can’t they shut it down now? Weird huh?
Because legally they are allowed to seek asylum. It’s a matter of existing law

Oddly, that’s what the thread title says.

Why don’t YOU educate me about the bill
No that’s not what the thread title says.

Reading comp hard for you? Or is it critical thinking?

The requirement that was blocked was to provide proof of citizenship before voting.

Read the thread title again jackass

So it is not a restrictive voting bill, it is a funding bill..
It was a funding bill, with stipulations that all voting should be done by US citizens, without any illegals voting. You know with a valid ID. But those pesky Democrats cant win without cheating so a very large majority will end up closing the government.

Tell us how this shutting the border is going to work?

So you want all traffic and trade going from Mexico to USA and back stopped?
Yes, and all outgoing and incoming traffic closed for 1 year. Then we do an emergency Census, figure out who is here legally and illegally, start the deportations, and get this country back from the Biden/Harris 3rd world catastrophe.

I would be happy if the wall would be electrified, with solar and wind power, so that way the enviro whackso can still make some money on the Green New Deal. When enough bodies are electrocuted at the border, then the horde of diseased illegals might get the message.

Right....Don't take any blame for the collaborationists on your side.

That is why I refuse to support your broken down joke of a party.
14 RINOS voted 205 democrats and that makes the GOP the villians?

I dont think so

You need to help put more repubs in congress

It's already the law. Maybe we need a new law making murder a chargeable crime?

Democrats already tried that with the anti-lynching act. Another shameless attempt to stoke fear and gaslight the public over the extreme bent of racial violence today.

Yes, both parties are incredibly and sadly guilty of doing this.

Because legally they are allowed to seek asylum. It’s a matter of existing law
They are ineligible
They cross through other countries where they could stay
They face no imminent threat due to political or religious beliefs
They simply want greater comforts
Cannibals have it rough also so let’s wave them in so the chowing down can include people as well as pets. It’s the fair and feeling thing to do

To get a Real ID, which will be required to board domestic flights in the near future, quite a bit of documentary evidence is required. Is verifying that non-citizens aren’t voting not equally important?

The same data is used for both your Real ID and to be able to vote, they just pull it from what you supplied for the Real ID instead of making you provide it again

Well, your vote, John Q. Citizen, has officially been canceled out.
Democrats along with 14 Republicans, have decided that you don't need to be a citizen to vote in the upcoming election.

I'd like to say I'm shocked, but I've been paying attention for 8 years, and this is the end game of what's been going on.

Rigged system.

Makes sense why they opened the border now, doesn't it?

If we do not enforce the existing laws, making a new law will not change a thing, as they still will not be enforced.

There is no mechanism for enforcement, like documetary evidence. This bill would add the mechanism.
