What would the big deal be if it merely enforced the law? It sure seems like Democrat don’t want to see it enforced. They like the enforcement the way it is now, which is to say, NONE. All that has to be done now is to check a box stating you are a citizen with no documentary evidence necessary. That is pretty naive if you actually think about it.

Why would fortifying that existing law by requiring documentary proof be an issue unless some people(Democrats) prefer the “cross your heart and hope to die” method of enforcement that is currently in place? That is a rhetorical question. Intelligent people are able to easily discern the reason.

Yes, you do not need to be a citizen to get one, but they still know who is and who is not a citizen when they issue them. Thus if someone that is not a citizen registers to vote, their registration will be denied.
