The country you were in at the time did not snatch you up and declare you their citizen, no 'equal rights' group fought nor cared about your citizenry.

Likewise when a foreign couple has a child while passing through the USA, they are a citizen of that country, wherever the parents are from. The 14th was intended as a bandage just to help black slaves normalize into our legal system, there was no illegal immigration back then so it could not have even been a consideration much less the intent of the authors to include.

And the PROOF of that is the fact that the 14th did not even apply to native Indians and they needed a separate treaty years later, therefore the 14th could not have just been intended to apply to anyone and everyone born within our territory.

Only half true. Half those countries have conditions for citizenship like being limited to certain groups, parents need to be born in the country, parents need to hold legal residence, etc.

Even the USA has conditions. The child cannot be subject of another country's government, and if two foreigners come here to have a child, both they and their child are already subjects of another government.

It makes no sense to use every excuse in the books still to suck in new citizens, especially from foreign countries--- there was no illegal immigration in 1866, no such thing as a terrorist, and in 1866, there were only 1/10th the people here then as there are today, and the world was not filled with dangerous a-holes.

Bottom line: unlike any other country, foreign governments hostile to our own are exploiting loopholes in our laws in order to exploit and subvert our country at our own expense; these loopholes must be closed.

As my map shows, your list is wrong, many of these countries have conditions for citizenship just as the USA has conditions as well, but seriously, how many people do you know sneaking off to Saint Kitts, Topago, Tuvalu or Eritria just to have a kid just to be a citizen of that country???
