The project was never implemented because of the environmental reports, and had been factored out of all of North American manufacturing when Trump was elected and approved it’s construction. Court cases to block it were immediately launched

It was never completed and wasn’t being used. How can cancelling something that was never part of infrastructure planning impact output???

But the pipeline has already had multiple leaks and impacted the water tables in the lands it was crossing, exactly as the environment report warned.

Keystone XL is just another Republican fairytale promulgated by the Trump administration and promoted by the billionaire owned right wing media.

The total amount of energy we export is greater than the total amount of energy we import. We are not crude oil independent and haven't been for a very long time. We are only energy independent when you add up all source of energy we import and export, especially LNG exports. Using the same formula we are more energy independent under Biden than under Trump.

I've explained it 100 times in detail. No oil carried in the keystone XL can be sold in the US. It won't generate thousands of jobs. Existing pipeline construction companies would build the pipeline. It would be monitored in real time from a central computer bank to monitor pressure and flow.
Basically the Chinese owners of tarsand sludge would benefit, but not US consumers or taxpayers.
