Biden promises lower gas prices

Apples and oranges which is typical for you on the left. When Trump issued stimulus and additional unemployment we were hit with a 14% unemployment rate which quickly went down. When Dementia got in there were all kinds of jobs available. Our state ran the numbers and between state and fed unemployment, it was comparable to somebody making close to 60K a year when you consider taxes not taken out with unemployment. WFT would want to go back to work getting paid that kind of money to sit home?

Trump handed out money so the economy wouldn't collapse. The Communists handed out money to get more people on the public dole. Dementia increased food stamps the most since the program started.
You can make your justifications and critiques all you want but the fact remains those actions were causes for the inflation… yes even Trump actions. When you release trillions of dollars into an economy inflation will result. Supply chain was largely overseas not exactly in our control. Another big cause… you’re to blinded by partisan hate

Infliction isn’t something that happens overnight. It takes months and years for actions to matriculation out into an economy. That’s a weak argument Ray. Main causes for inflation which were shut downs and stimulus were done under both Trump and Biden. That’s just a fact

Oh bullshit. Making excuses for this complete failure of a President. It's never the Democrats fault, is it. If a Republican is in office, it's the Republicans fault. When a Democrat is in office, it's the Republicans fault. If the entire country is Democrat ran, it's still the Republicans fault. Don't you see how pathetic you people look?

Well people aren't buying that bullshit anymore as you will see in November. Dementia is the worst President since Carter, and the way things are going he's going to surpass him as well. Hey, did you hear, inflation went up again this week. How did Trump accomplish that? :eusa_shhh:

I’m not excusing one and blaming the other… that’s what you’re doing. I’m simply calling out the real cause and effects of what’s happening. In reality POTUS isn’t the puppet master effecting every world condition. Trump got blamed for things that weren’t in his control all the time. Y’all do the same thing to Biden. Fact is much of what happened was an effect of a pandemic which the entire world is dealing with. There are also things that both presidents did that contributed to certain conditions. You don’t seem capable of looking at it objectively. Trumps a saint and Biden is the devil. Not much to do with that kind of brainwash

Let's go back to politics 101 which you obviously never attended: All appropriations come from the House. That's it. The President doesn't write the spending bills, the Senate doesn't write the spending bills, only the House does. The second half of Trump's term he spent with Democrat leadership in the House.

Inflation is caused from price increases. When fuel doubles in price, employers have to compete with government for workers, prices go up. The definition of inflation is paying more money for the same products and services.

You can't stop government spending because the country needs things, but you can stop the pork like tearing down bridges and rebuilding them because you think the bridge was racist, or wasting money on charging stations all across the country that just about nobody will ever use.

$13.6 billion for aid to Ukraine

The package delivers nearly $14 billion in emergency funding to help address the emerging humanitarian crisis in Ukraine and shore up the country’s defense against Russia, including $4 billion for humanitarian aid, $3.5 billion for sending new military equipment and $3 billion for deploying U.S. troops to the region.

$4 billion for rural development programs

After 2021’s bipartisan infrastructure bill provided a $65 billion investment in rural infrastructure to increase broadband access, the latest spending measure invests an additional $4 billion for rural development programs.

Of that amount, $550 million will go towards the expansion of broadband service and $450 million for the ReConnect program, which provides loans and grants to cover the cost of broadband construction and improvement. The White House estimates that more than 30 million Americans live in areas that lack broadband infrastructure to provide minimally acceptable speeds.

$24.6 billion for student financial assistance

Biden called for sweeping higher education reforms during his State of the Union address on March 1, including a $2,000 Pell Grant expansion and additional HBCU and community college funding. The spending bill partly accomplishes these goals, increasing the maximum Pell Grant by $400—the largest increase in the maximum award in more than a decade—and authorizing $363 million in HBCU funding. In total, the bill provides $24.6 billion for federal student aid programs, an increase of $35 million from the previous year.

Climate change investments

The bill provides record funding for the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy at $3.2 billion, $338 million more than the previous year—but less than what House Democrats had proposed.

The funding will support the production of clean and affordable energy sources. An additional $78.3 million will fund the Department of Agriculture’s efforts to address the impacts of climate change in farming and rural communities, including research on clean energy technologies and greenhouse gas reductions. NASA’s Science Mission Directorate will also receive $7.6 billion—an increase of $313.4 million compared to last year—to enable better scientific research on a variety of topics, including Earth’s changing climate.

And this is just some of the wasteful spending by the commies. So if you're going to blame spending, put the blame where it rightfully belongs.

Then please explain how we were doing much better in the heart of covid than we are at the end of it.

And you honestly think that was caused by democrats? Nothing to do with covid, shutdowns, foreign wars?
Yes, it has to do with Dems, they are in charge. There have been wars throughout history, and not inflation like this...and we have had vaccines for the virus for 2 years now.

Try again

The war is effecting oil prices. COVID stimulus and shut downs are what caused inflation

We've had war literally in the ME, that produce way more oil then Russia or Ukraine....and not had this.

Yes, Xiden and the Dems unnecessary "covid" stimulus er "American Rescue" er bailouts to Dem run states, certainly were a contrbuting factor....

This is Xiden and the Dems America...they are running the show....they obviously completely mishandled it and are in way over their heads

Trillions were spent under Trump and economies were shut down, it’s not all on Biden. And yes wars with ME have effected gas prices like this we just didn’t have the COVID factor on top of it

Agreed, it's not "all" on Xiden...plenty of folks in the Dem party to blame. It's all their fault

This is their America....9.1 percent inflation

Plenty of folks in both parties to blame. Don’t be such a hack

Sorry,,,the Dems run the Govt...White House and both chambers of Congress.

The Dembots own this...

Xiden's America
Sure you can play it that way. Trump was in charge for trillions of spending and the largest part of the shut downs which are the biggest causes of the inflation we see now. So with your logic he owns a big chunk of this as well

ope the biggest part is the dems

The whole world was closed. Supply chains were largely dependent on also an markets which were also locked down. Did the Dems do that?

The entire world wasn't closed. It slowed down, as did demand, and the supplies were getting to where they needed to be for the most part.

Cali and the Dems out there really screwed with the shipping though...with that said, the pandemic is over and been over....that was two years ago....this is Xiden and the Dem Congress baby

In what aspect were we doing much better?

As we are discussing, inflation. Gasoline and diesel more than affordable, natural gas the same thing, the border was much more secure than it is today, last year we had over 100,000 Americans die from OD's, mostly fentanyl that's leaving China and being delivered by the drug lords through that southern border. Everything was better under Trump. Interest rates that fed the new housing market, affordable rents, everything.
