US to release 172 million barrels from Strategic Petroleum Reserve to try to bring down gas prices

No it didn't. Learn to read dude.

Also in 2022, the United States produced2 about 20.08 million b/d of petroleum and consumed3 about 20.01 million b/d.

Petroleum isn't crude oil. It's the finished product, after the crude oil imports. A big part of that was for Mexico. They brought in a lot of oil for us to refine. And sent it right back to Mexico. And they calculated that Mexican petroleum in their numbers.

Our crude oil production was between 11 mbpd to 12.2 mbpd averages.

You're losing this argument every time you post. You can't skew the facts. Especially with someone who understands oil, oil production, market values and the lies the government tells to embellish their stories.

And you are bouncing around the numbers to avoid that we are technically a net exporter of oil.

You don't understand shit.

Hahahahaaa. You’ll fall for anything.
She is a Democrat lapdog who is told how to think and what to say.

The DOE under Biden cheered when he refilled the SPR at $77 a barrel. Trump wanted to refill at $29 a barrel but Democrats blocked him.

Schumer needs to stand trial for treason and face state execution in public immediately. I wouldn't piss on this mofo if he is on fire.

I'm bouncing around anything except facts. I posted the actual numbers. You used numbers that weren't even relevant.

Finished product (petroleum products) isn't "crude oil" any longer. It's gasoline, diesel, plastics and other things.

Republicans criticized President Biden for draining the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) to lower gas prices ahead of the 2022 midterms. Now President Trump is going to do the same thing by releasing 172 million barrels of oil to help lower prices ahead of the 2026 midterms.

During an interview Wednesday with WKRC Local 12 in Cincinnati, Trump was asked about tapping the reserve and said, “Well, we’ll do that and then we’ll fill it up.”
He added, “Right now we’ll reduce it a little bit, and that brings the prices down.” He didn't specify in that interview how many barrels of oil the U.S. would release.
Trump frequently criticized the administration of Joe Biden for tapping the reserve to try and bring down gas prices.

False equivalence. Biden emptied the SPR for political posturing. Trump is doing it because the most evil Regime on the planet is throttling the global oil supply.

You're just trolling. Trying to argue. Or save face from an argument you've lost 3 or 4 times now.

Numbers that suit your interest, as big numbers that don't mean what you want them to mean.

No shit Sherlock, I have a Masters in ChemE. I also notice they use the term Petroleum which isn't defined of course.

I have no issues with the reaction but I have issues with why we need to do this. It is utterly self inflicted vs all Russia driven under Biden.

So Russia is an acceptable enemy but Iran is not?

That's still being driven by Trump.

Birds of a feather.
