This topic brings up a bigger issue in my mind, and that is bureaucratic power. Our founders created a government system where citizens could redress laws made against them by the representatives they elect. Somehow, they were able to transfer that power (unconstitutionally in my opinion) to bureaucrats. When politicians want to make a move against the people against their will, just have a bureaucracy do it for them and that way they take no blame.
