This is the Basic Law that is currently in force.Sharia court in Palestine is voluntary and only covers family law.
We're not talking about the Ottoman Sharia court, we are talking about the existing Palestinian law and it is specifically declared that :
Article 4(1): The principles of Islamic Shari’a shall be a principal source of legislation. 2003 Amended Basic Law
Sharia-based law is declared in the existing draft of the constitution:
Article 7: The principles of the Islamic shari`a are a main source for legislation. The followers of the monotheistic religions and shall have their personal status and religious affairs organized according to their shari‘as and religious denominations within the framework of [positive] law, while preserving the unity and independence of the Palestinian people. 2003 Permanent Constitution draft
