That’s part of it but not the main reason. The main reason is the cost of gasoline up over 100% quickly after Biden signed his executive orders that overturned what was keeping gasoline low. It’s surprising that inflation isn’t even more with costs to make products and transport them is more than doubled.
Gas went down, then up due to the pandemic. And as more people went back to work, demand went up and then prices followed. Then there were the problems with transporting oil by ships, which rose prices. Then Russia invaded Ukraine and countries boycotted their oil, rising prices yet again. That, along with transportation problems, caused the inflation.
It all stems from the pandemic, as many countries are experiencing.
