Beto O'Rouke Blows up Press Conference on Texas Shooting

Politicizing a tragedy!

WHICH ONE?

Republicans refuse to take any action against gun violence
If not now…WHEN?

Give me a date when Republicans will discuss the issue
So full of false outrage. It's pathetic.

Give us all a date when you'll actually care.

You Democrats cheering for Beta are the problem. Your hatred of Christians and the Constitution are just exacerbating the problem. The problem isn't guns. The problem is evil and Democrat policies.

What gun problem? Look fool the illegal problem has killed 79,000 Americans many of them young people it's the leading cause of death of young people. 79,000 vs 19 and you people are total crickets on that issue. Hence we laugh in your face when you try to make hay over some whack job who shot up a school which you blatantly twist into your anti gun, gun control narrative.
Hold it there legend, I'm a Canadian and that means I don't have to care.

We just don't want the sickness to continue to spread across the border.

Crashing your opponent’s press conference is, as Cruz said, a stunt. Of course it is. But so was the event O’Rourke was crashing, in which the most powerful men in the state assembled at a school auditorium to do…what, do they do, exactly?

We’re all familiar with this routine by now—the elected officials who descend on the scene in their best emergency-response earth tones to bask in their proximity to law enforcement and collectively absolve everyone with power of any responsibility. People like Abbott and Cruz and Ken Paxton and Dan Patrick—the state’s Republican attorney general and lieutenant governor—will emphasize the “tragedy” of what happened and the unpredictability of it all. There were no obvious signs, Abbott said on Wednesday, not long before O’Rourke’s interruption; law enforcement acted quickly, he said, and saved lives; the assault rifles he acquired shortly before the shootings were, of course, purchased legally. They’ll give a few days of defensive interviews about hiring veterans to stand guard at schools. Maybe, in a few weeks, we’ll get “Uvalde Strong” t-shirts.

O’Rourke’s rhetoric on gun control viscerally shifted after the 2019 massacre targeting Mexican and Mexican-American shoppers at an El Paso Walmart. He pushed a mandatory assault-rifle buyback program during that campaign and said at a presidential debate, “Hell yes, we’re going to take your AR-15.” He now says he is “not interested in taking anything from anyone,” but he has criticized Abbott for signing a law that allows anyone to carry a handgun without even acquiring a permit.

Ultimately, the question of whether his intervention Wednesday was polite or not is less important than the fact that O’Rourke is right. The effect, if not the outright point, of events like the one he crashed is to ensure that the right time and the place to discuss gun control never comes—to indulge the delusion that the people who are truly doing nothing are actually doing something. The shooting was predictable, if not in the specific sense, then in the broader one: The state’s and the country’s gun laws enable outcomes such as this by design. If it wasn’t predictable, then why can we keep predicting it?

And every week do the Progs show up at the inner-city shootout roundup to lament what happens? What they do is wash it out of their hair unless they are pushed hard enough by reporters. And that is rare because most reporters are Prog shills. City after city...death, carnage and destruction. Where is Beto? We can get Beto to show up everywhere. In stores for products. At gas stations demanding why the prices are high. Looking for baby formula. Going to apartments and demanding they do something about the rent increases. Going to the power companies and threatening to beat the shit out of them if they do not lower the increasing bills. And more and more....Beto...a man's man. Soon to be the new Brawny Paper Towel man.

And all Democrats are offering is disarming the public while defunding police, releasing criminals the day they are arrested, and importing criminals at the Southern border.
See, that is the problem with you asswhipe gun nuts. You create a strawman and then thump your chest because you beat hell of that strawman. No one is asking to disarm the public. Yes, maybe disarming them from their assault rifles, but those guns aren't good for anything, well except for mass shooting and plinking cans. You can have your shotgun, your rifles, even your ***** ass handguns. But, there might be a limit on the size of the magazine. And requiring a gun permit for all purchases that includes a comprehensive background check is certainly warranted.

Open carry laws are just stupid, they really are. I mean perhaps the pretense is that one of these good guys with a gun will stop a bad guy with a gun. Well damn, I got to ask, this happened in Texas, where were all the good guys with guns? Did even a single one of them jump in their pick-up truck and head to the school? Did the local police take this guy out? The sheriff department? State troopers? No, it was a tactical unit from the FEDERAL border patrol. So much for legendary Texas law enforcement.

I mean this was massive incompetence at every level. What was the response time? Did the school have a resource officer on the premises? I mean Texans are some strange fellows. A gun man is barricaded in a room with TEN YEAR OLDS, shooting them, and law enforcement's response is, "uh, let's call in the Feds". BULLSHIT. You kick down the flippin door and storm the room. Maybe one of you will get shot, maybe even two, but ain't that what you signed up for? Did the ten year olds sign up to die so you can wait for backup. Absolutely pitiful.

Typical leftist asshat. here people are trying to get important updates at a press conference and this clown has to make it about himself…sad

A news conference is not open to political sideshows, or town hall meeting, it’s simply designed to be informative.
Beto is nothing more than a pathetic clown, absolutely no sense of decency or compassion toward anyone.

Democratic policies will let it happen again and again.
