The people of the cancel culture have got to be stopped, or free speech will eventually fall from the American landscape.

Bari Weiss Resigns From New York Times Decrying “Constant Bullying” Of Colleagues

Bari Weiss, staff editor and writer in The New York Timesopinion section, resigned on Tuesday, decrying what she said was “constant bullying by colleagues who disagree with my views” and an environment where she said “self-censorship has become the norm.”

“What rules that remain at The Times are applied with extreme selectivity,” she wrote in a lengthy resignation letter, which she posted to her personal website. “If a person’s ideology is in keeping with the new orthodoxy, they and their work remain unscrutinized. Everyone else lives in fear of the digital jpthunderdome. Online venom is excused so long as it is directed at the proper targets.”kkiikkimmmmjyy m

Staff writers and editors that hold views contrary to the anti-free speech, crowd, need to unite and form their own daily newspaper with help from those that can fund the start up of the business.
Further, there needs to be more pro-US media on the televisions, rather than just Fox News.

That is the current sad state of affairs with American Media. The Democrats say "you are entitled to an opinion as long as it is ours".

To be fair this is a case of the left eating it's own. Weiss is only "conservative" when compared to the lefties that occupy the rest of the Times editorial writers and board.

I totally agree. Agencies like the NY Slimes, WAPO, CNN, MSNBC etc.... refuse to give the people true unbiased reporting. They've turned the 'Fourth Estate' into the Progressive Marxist Socialist/DSA Democrat's propaganda arm.

"Has become..." Is a bit of an understatement.

Which makes it all the more serious.

No true conservative would survive there.

And offering to beat the shit out of anyone who bullies you will only get your fired.

She's definitely not a conservative, but she's not woke enough for these younger staff members who do not support free speech.

Get used to the future of America. You've taken a page out of the Canadian and other socialist systems.
_______

There are signs that the backlash is building, faint signs, but hopeful ones---toward a return to Sanity.

This usually occurs in History....in its repetitive cycles. But, not always, and that's when you get the Pre-Bolshevik French Revolution of 1789 and the True Bolshevik Revolution of 1917.

Same Sociopathic Types are involved today, as Human Nature doesn't change, but I think Sanity has some fight left in it---in the Heartland anyway. The rotting cities are of course doomed. I am most worried about Voter Fraud there. If they can beat Trump that way.....well, I hear the stores are already running out of ammo.

Unfortunately, the NY Slimes has been biased and extremely left for decades. The only reason I would be forced to buy that paper is to line litter boxes, the bottom of bird cages and if an emergency arises and there's no toilet papers available.

She is a "centrist". That used to mean she's middle of the road, open minded and oh so reasonable. Times have changed. If it wasn't so sad it would be funny.

The times has always been bent to the Left of America.
Remember the NY Slimes lede... "General Betray Us"

Back in the day, "principles and ethics" were pounded into aspiring young journalists' heads along with the mechanics of story writing and memorizing the AP Style Book. I wonder if any of that is even being touched on these days. This woman probably had other issues with the NYTimes but somewhere inside all these hacks know they've become what their professors warned them about becoming. Woodward and Bernstein are what's behind it. They brought down a Repub president so now that's the gold standard in advocacy journalism. Where are the exposes and scandals in the state capitols? Did local pols suddenly not take bribes to route highways past their donor's motels? Who gets a license to do business where is suddenly no longer corrupt?

Young writers don't seem interested in bringing down local criminals anymore....they don't want to go through the minor leagues of southern weeklies writing ad copy and obits, working their way north. Now they strive to hit the BIG TIME right now. Women dying their hair blonde and getting tit jobs and nose jobs. Males hitting the weight room and donning Hollywood hairstyles and the right business attire. Hell, when I was starting up, a real reporter HATED the pols and became a drunk prying ehough material out of them to get them indicted. These writers knew they'd never get rich, would die of stress-related maladies from meeting years of DEADLINES day after day. They scoured the streets and government halls to bring the truth to the average Joe. And now? phffffttttt.... :eusa_snooty:

I don't remember the name, was she important.
Of course she "wasn't important". She had a different opinion than the Trump hating mob that is the New York Times.
