Why would anyone panic buy ? Must be that someone is saying something to them or they are seeing the signs themselves right ? People just don't do these things unless there is a problem or is it that the libs are creating fear porn in the minds of the people for political purposes ? I fear the trucker vaccine mandate at the border that went into effect yesterday is going to decimate the lumber availability again.Also I goto Home Depot & Lowes at least 4 times a week for different things. There are ALWAYS empty shelves/bins/racks. Sometimes the things I need and sometimes other things I don't.
Leveling clips are CRUTIAL for products 3 to 5 feet long and I can't tell you how many time they weren't available.

At work getting material is insane at the moment.........have to be ordered way out as it's hard to get basic stuff anymore. We've had to hot shot items on the job I'm on now from Bum Fuck Egypt to do the job.Damn, where do you live in Missouri? No shortages at all in St Louis according to those I know that live there.
Here across the river there are none either. Wife and I went grocery shopping yesterday and I think the only thing that was not fully stocked as the frozen seafood cooler, which I would never buy anyhow
They do it because they think it is hilarious, well until it hit them and then they will be screaming for people to stop shopping.Shopping with my next customer about 25% of their selections were back ordered for months so they had to make different selections. One was available but only in limited quantities IN ANOTHER STATE. They went on a road trip this weekend to get it.

What about the articles in shortage of ? My company hasn't been able to get parts for equipment, and my wife works in retail where she is seeing shortages. Car lots are empty of new vehicles, motorcycle dealers are empty of new vehicle's, and the container ship's are still waiting to get unloaded while the docks are barely moving. On and on it goes.

When that crap took a nosedive last time it went from 1.43 per 8ft to nearly 9 dollars per 8 ft and sheet goods were like buying gold wrist watches.
We have a huge Truck mechanic shop at our plant, and they have a lot of trucks still deadlined because of parts shortages.the truck's they send out for repairs are still at those shop's where they are claiming parts shortages.
