Brexit was the wet dream of the Conservatives, the more MAGA type of Conversative.
Nigel Farage was the biggest player, and he supports Trump.
A lot of what was said during Brexit was just lies.
Someone said that the money "saved" from paying the EU would go to the NHS. Farage didn't oppose this. He just didn't say it.
They said the UK would get a great deal, everything would be amazing.
And then it happened and it was quickly became apparent that it was a shitshow.

Lots of Brits go to Europe every year, it's close, it's warm, it's dry.

Now they might have to wait 6 hours in an airport just to get through security when being in the EU it would have been like taking a domestic flight.

For the British people it's meant inflation, the pound is weaker, the people are poorer.
And yet you can't say "let's rejoin the EU" as the hard core Brexit crowd will shout and shout that this goes against Democracy. As if you have a vote and then that vote must remain ten years later or it's not democracy.
Nigel Farage said if it went 52/48 to Remain, they'd push for another vote. It went 52/48 for Leave and now there can never, ever be another vote.
None of it makes any sense. It has made the UK poorer, weaker, and the people have more problems. The country is going to hell and brexit has made it worse.
Now, Nigel Farage is looking like he could win the next General Election. He pushed for the worst thing in UK politics this century, and he's still there taking Russian money, Thai money (£5 million two weeks before deciding to run in the GE and he didn't bother to declare it), Iranian money, Hong Kong money.
