The United States spent around 150 billion dollars on illegals last year. And a percentage of American citizens were short changed. Many that were Dem voters went for Trump. They receive money from the US, but it's mostly maritime security, drug interdiction, that sort of thing.

The Bahama dollar is pegged to the US dollar at a 1:1 ratio. When you go there, you can use the currency interchangeably, and it's not unusual to get a mix of US and Bahamian currency back when you buy something in a market.

You can go to a bank and get a cash advance on a VISA card, and you can ask for US or Bahamian currency, they don't care which.

It always seemed to me like they could just print as much as they needed under that scenario. I don't know what arrangements are in place to control it but there must be something?

Anyway, on topic, I don't blame them. They already have high crime, and I wouldn't want the US exporting migrants there if I lived there either.

The deportees should go back to their country of origin, and if those countries won't take them back, they should be the ones to be sanctioned, not some third country that isn't even responsible for the problem...

The developed world has had enough with illegal immigrants. Dismissing this as nazism ignores that this is becoming increasingly a populist movement and that will continue to have political repercussions until the issue is dealt with. They aren't going to throw their hands up and say never mind, we'll keep them just because the third world doesn't want to cooperate in creating an orderly process for their return. I don't know how this will shake out, but I am pretty certain it is going to be messy, and the messier it gets, the harder it will be for legal immigration and immigrants. Even more broadly, the foundations of a lot of ideological principals will start to be undermined the longer the matter plays out. It isn't going to be pretty if we don't get the upperhand on this.
